Hi All,
Ow! Ow! Ow! Does anyone know what to do for hypersensitive nipples? They sometimes feel as if they are freezing off or as is someone were peeling them off of me with an incredibly sharp apple peeler. I imagine it is only going to get worse. Are there any home remedies for this?
Re: Nip Assist
Ok, this is going to sound a bit odd, but hear me out lol.
My mom used to sell adult toys, and do in home parties.
When I was pregnant with my daughters I had terrible nip pain. My mom got into her kit and pulled out something called "anal ease". I tell you what it numbed them up so well I didn't feel a thing!
However, looking back on it now....orajel might have done the trick too!
Don't judge. lol

That said evening primrose oil may help too... If you take the capsules. A naturopath or good natural health store may have other suggestions

As a professional in this area, I feel the need to say that if you haven't already, consider checking with your pregnancy healthcare provider and/or having a lactation consultation. Sensitivity during pregnancy and postpartum are normal, pain and feeling like "freezing off or as is someone were peeling them off of me with an incredibly sharp apple peeler" is NOT.
You may need someone to help you determine the cause (such as Raynauds, etc) rather than just a temporary treatment that may not be appropriate for your case or for your breasts as they mature and produce milk (regardless of whether you breastfeed, but especially if you do).
Feel free to PM or page me if you have more specific questions!
