Breech baby at 36 wks...suggestions???

So yesterday we had to go into the hospital for an NST and biophysical profile. We were told that our baby is in the breech position. Since we are at 36 weeks, they said that we will now likely have a csection. I'm not too keen on this so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions from their experience that we could try. We don't go back to see our dr. till Mon. but I'd like to start trying to help him switch as soon as possible. TIA :

  • I know the doctor can try to turn the baby, but I have not heard of anything else. If your baby is breeched, he's breeched. Maybe he will turn on his own. Good Luck to you and let us know how it goes.

  • www.spinningbabies.com has some techniques that might get him to flip. I've heard of going to a chiropracter that knows the Webster technique can work and also that acupuncture can help. Lastly, some doctors can perform an external version but this comes with its own risks and can be very uncomfortable.

  • My baby delivered yesterday via induction at 37w4d was breech at 37w1d. My doctor told me to basically do the yoga position downward dog to the best of my ability for a couple minutes at a time legs spread apart further though. Worked like a charm and she flipped on her own during my second downward dog!

  • I am 38 weeks and my baby is breech, come Tuesday they will schedule a c section on Friday.  My baby has never been head down so I am not holding out hope.

As long as the baby arrives healthy I don't care how it gets here.
