PSA: New research on Inositol to prevent GD

I have mentioned this a few times in some of my posts, but I wanted to share with this group. You ladies may want to check out all the new research that is coming out on Inositol to prevent/improve GD and insulin resistance (especially important for women with PCOS). Since I have been taking just 1500 mg. of Inositol, my numbers have improved dramatically. Therapeutic doses of up to 4000 mg. have been studied.

You may want to read and share the research with your providers -- especially if you have been struggling with your numbers.

  • I am definitely talking to my MFM about this on Tuesday. (as I sit here pissed that I got a 133 from lunch - a Greek yogurt and plum- and a 139 from dinner - two tacos where each carb was calculated and weighed. Grrrr!
