Intro!

Hi Parenting!

I'm mamaReb and I'm normally a lurker but decided to come out of hiding and say hello!

I'm a stepmom to Sd16, SS12 and mom to 2 boys who are 2 years and 3 months.

I live on the east coast of Canada, I like to run, Ive been married 4 years and we like to travel. I'm also a nurse but currently on mat leave for a year.

Looking forward to GTKY'all! Ask away if I left anything out.

A spit fistula. I can't even begin to describe it. Google it on an empty stomach.

Or patients going through alcohol withdrawal. They get a little nutty. I once got knocked out cold by a guy wielding a bedpan.

Have you ever found anything ridiculous in the pannus?

They do a segment on our local radio morning show about things nurses find in the pannus.  It kills me.

I kid you not, I had a patient who kept her wallet there. She was admitted for choking on a meatball. They pulled it out of her trachea whole. She was 400lbs.

    The job never gets old

    Uhhhh.... Yeahhhhh.

Seriously it's not THAT bad. I kept my 2 year old in daycare a couple of days a week. Best. Decision. Ever. If the weather was nicer it would be ok to have him here but it's minus 20 cel ius here most days and we'd just be staring at each other. I can't wait to pull him out soon and hit the playground.
