I JUST talked to my midwife about this and she recommended trying papaya enzymes. I guess they are a chew tablet that you get at Whole Foods or other coops (spelling?). Haven't tried it, but thought I'd share anyway!
My last two pregnancies brought bad heartburn at night...I'm pretty natural on stuff but did cave and take Zantac so I could sleep. I usually only need it at night, and have also like papaya enzymes or a glass of milk. Drinking water when hungry made it worse! I've started taking Zantac (target brand) at night this past week, and I'm 12 weeks.
