I went to MFM today because I was measuring 4 weeks ahead at by OB appt. After the ultrasound it was determined that though I am 34 weeks pregnant, baby is measuring 37 weeks. I also have a lot of amniotic fluid. The tech said I look like a classic case of gestational diabetes. The only thing is that I passed my 1 hour glucose test a few weeks ago with flying colors! I have also had my urine tested twice this week (for other reasons) and there was no indicated of high sugar levels.
What else could it be? Big baby is one thing, but big baby AND a lot of amniotic fluid? What could it be if it's not GD. Thanks!
(PS-They aren't changing my due date.)
Re: Passed GD test but have lots of amnio fluid and a big baby!
does seem odd - what did your dr say?
I assume everything else looked good on the U/S? (i.e. kidneys, bladder, diaphragm, liver, heart, brain...)
yep all is well w organs. Head is measuring large, but that's bc dad had a big head. So did my daughter.
