Tight chest

In the last day or so I've been having spells where it literally feels like someone is squeezing my ribs together. It's so painful tonight my boss just sent me home from work. Anyone heard of anything like this in pregnancy or is it totally unrelated?

    I had this for a couple weeks off and on a few weeks ago. For me, it is stress and anxiety. I have had this happen before I was pregnant too but not for so long periods of time. My mom has had this happen too. I'm betting it is the same thing for you too but you could always check with your Dr. if you are very concerned.

    I should add that for me it was more like an elephant was sitting on my chest and I could not breathe rather than a painful feeling.

    I've had this too. For me, it was also stress related. Kind of like an anxiety or panic attack but not as physical as people generally associate with those. My doctor recommended breathing exercises as well.
