My nurse emailed me on Monday night with my second beta results. She said it was 294 which was up from 93 three days prior giving me a doubling time of just over 43 hours. While waiting all day long for the beta results, I signed up for a LabCorp patient portal account. Well, today my beta results from Monday showed up. They weren't 294, they were 249! She transposed the numbers in her email to me. This puts my doubling time at just over 50 hours. I'm disapointed because my numbers seem awfully low compared to others that seem to be the same dpt as me, and finding out my second beta was even lower than I first thought has made me freak out just a little bit extra.

14dp5dt - 249
I'm waiting for my third beta to come back as we speak but has anyone started out with numbers like this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? Being pregnant is SO new to me....thanks for any encouragement you can provide. I'm kind of sick of worrying, physically sick!
Re: Inaccurate info from nurse. My beta was actually lower
Hi Liz! So glad to "see" you over here!!
As for doubling time, there's really not a huge difference beween 43 and 50 hours when you consider that most RE's want to see a doubling every 48-72 hours. You're still on the lower end of that range. I'm sure lots of girls wil chime-in with doubling times that were very similar to yours and even many successes with much slower times. Hang in there. The worry seems to just keep on comin' when dealing with IF. Hopefully today's beta will ease your mind some. Big hugs!
UGH! I am SO sorry you are dealing with this. Total unecessary stress at a time when you don't need it.
BUT - echoing PPs. I think you are OK. It's not so much where the numbers are as much as the doubling time. And even though it's a little slower than you thought, it still appears to be perfectly on track to me.
FX for a kick as* beta today to put this whole issue to bed!

Ughh Liz, that sucks you were given the wrong info (((hugs))). Like PPs have said the doubling time they like to see is 48-72 hours - so a 50 hour doubling time is at the very low end of that range. I think that you are completely fine, but I understand your worry.
FX your 3rd beta takes those worries away!!
That would infuriate me! As if we don't have enough to stress about.
However, I think and hope you are still good. My first doubling time was 64 hours. The second doubling time was down to somewhere in the 40s.
Good luck!
Pls update us with beta 3!
