How often for Betas?
Good morning ladies,
I m/c my first at 6w5d right after Thanksgiving. After waiting my first cycle, we started trying on #2. Over the past three days I have gotten 3 faint bfps. They are a little darker than my m/c ones were, but still rather faint.
I went in for my first beta Wed morning with my second set for tomorrow morning. I'll get the results Monday.
What I'm wondering is how often you all asked for them. I have read some of you saying your 6w beta is in the multiple thousands, so I'm curious. I honestly doubt I'll be comfortable after only 2 and will prob ask for at least one more, but I don't know.
I o'd late this month, so I think I'm registering at about 4.5 weeks now.

I think it may depend on your OB or your RE. For those that have had many losses, the doctor may order several betas. But if you would feel more comfortable having a 3rd beta, by all means, ask your doctor. I would think they would understand! J
I haven?t had to request betas, they?re being ordered by the RE. I?m going in for my 4th today. I am approximately 5w1d today.
I asked a somewhat similar question last week, and some ladies said their doctor did upwards of 5 or 6 betas ? but I think it depends on the woman?s personal situation and each doctor?s practice. Someone commented and said their RE does betas until the level gets to 2,000. I?m yet to get to that point, and hope that mine is much, much higher today. Maybe this will be my last beta ? but I don?t know for sure.

BFP 2/8/12, MC @ 5 weeks; BFP 3/22/12, MC @ 5 1/2 weeks; BFP 9/10/12, MC @ 6 weeks
Started seeing RE Nov 2012. Chromosomal test and all other tests came back "normal". Unexplained MCs. Found mild hytpothyroidism. Two unmedicated cycles, both BFNs. First medicated cycle (clomid, ovidrel) 1/23/13. Low progesterone found during 9DPO P4 test = 7.6. Put on prometrium supplements.
BFP 2/16/13; 2/18/13 (13 dpo): Beta #1=52.8, progesterone=18.7; estrogen = 412; Dr. increased progesterone dosage.
2/21/13 (16 dpo): Beta #2 = 269; progesterone = 32.4
2/25/13 (20 dpo): Beta #3 = 1,236
2/28/13 (23 dpo): Beta #4 = ?? tbd

I just got the results for my first, a whopping 34. I knew it was going to be low, as I had only gotten the positive test the night before and 2 days before it had been negative. So tomorrow is draw 2.
I talked to the nurse and she had mentioned waiting a week or so to let it develop more then taking another draw. Then waiting until 2000 to maybe get u/s.
How far along were you for each of your lindsayanne?
