Tummy sleeping question

P has to sleep with her mattress elevated a bit due to her AR and so far its been great.  I got up last night after she hadn't woke up for a bit to check on her and she had rolled over onto her tummy and was sound asleep.  I was really worried so I rolled her back over on her back and of course she woke right back up.  I got her back to sleep and put her again on her back.  She just rolled to her side by the time she got up this morning but I'm wondering if its ok to let her sleep on her tummy if she rolls there herself?  She's mastered rolling back to front, but not front to back yet. Any thoughts?

Re: Tummy sleeping question

  • I put Beb down on her back every night and with in minutes she's on her side or tummy. My pedi said one they do that you can't do much to stop them.
If you're concerned maybe look into a movement monitor?

  • Whew thanks ladies! I was just worried to leave her there.  Her head was turned so she could easily breathe and she will sleep on her back but now if she rolls I'll leave her be.  I know i'll still be a nervous wreck though lol

Yep this exactly. And she sleeps SO MUCH better now! She is clearly more comfortable.
