I have a feeling that I will have several TMI questions over the next several weeks, BUT...that's what we're all here for right??? :D

Anyway...I had a dream orgasm right before I woke up this morning. Pretty certain it actually happened based on how I felt "down there" afterwards. Now I'm paranoid I'm going to miscarry this embie. I am only 11dp5dt. I know they recommend no orgasms while embie is trying to attach, but what about after that if you have a BFP? Freakin' out a little...

**TTC #1 Sep 2009-Feb 2013**   Me: 33 DH: 32 (healthy, SA = normal)

DX (May 2010) = Lap #1 showed Stage I-II endometriosis. HSG normal. Tx with 6 mo Lupron (which did nothing...) Lap #2 June 2011 to remove endo, uterine fibroid, and polyp

IUI #1-#3 (July-Sep 2011): All Clomid 50 mg + unmonitored IUI = All BFN

October 2011 - April 2012: Outta $$$ (no insurance coverage) = back to tryin' on our own

May 2012 - August 2012: Mental break from trying

October 2012: New OB. Bloodwork normal aside from slightly low progesterone

November 2012: IUI #4: Letrozole 2.5 mg + Novarel trigger + monitored IUI + progesterone = BFN

IVF #1: Long Lupron Protocol,Menopur,Follistim, ER = 2/12/13 27R/26M/23F

2/17/13 Transferred 1 perfect Grade 1 blast. 17 frostbabies.

HPT 7dp5dt: BFP!!! Beta #1 9dp5dt: 108 Beta #2 11dp5dt: 368

U/S #1 3/21: Heartbeat and one perfect bean!!  DS born 11/6/13 via c-section


TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs

Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove. 

Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm :/ Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose?? 

12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast

12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!

Beta #1 12/11/15: 236    Beta #2  12/14/15: 503   Please stick little one!!!!

U/S scheduled for week of 1/4/16

    I've had a lot of those dreams too in the past 5 weeks...ugh, it's been 5 weeks since DH and I....

    Anyway, everything is still looking good for me so I'm not too concerned about it.

    I seem to recall lovebug having this issue and others chiming in. You can't help your dreams and you should be fine. :)

    I'm there with you, I'd say you're fine.  The dreams only get crazier from here. :)

    You are fine.  You cannot control your dreams.  And everyone is right, they get crazier, dirtier, and more orgasmic from here on out! lol

    Don't freak out, those dreams will not cause you to miscarry. I had a few in my 2ww, it was pretty intense, even woke up cramping (went away quickly). I actually took it as a sign that I might be pregnant :) (I did not POAS) You can't help what your body does while you're asleep; and the uterus does contract when you O, but not that much.

    IVF #1 April 2012: Menopur and Bravelle; 1 egg retrieved, 0 fertilized. Boo.
    IVF #2 August 2012: Gonal-F 300, Menopur 300. Beta #1 9/6: 382... BFPx2!

    I miss those dreams! Lol. I think you are probably fine. I was on pelvic rest my whole preg and had a cerclage, so I was warned no orgasms. Wouldn't it figure I started having those dreams and actually had to ask my NP about it. She said there wasn't much I could do about it and that I would be fine.

    First, your embie has actually burrowed into your lining. It isn't a fragile little bubble floating around a giant sea of uterus.

    Second, we tend to think of the uterus as an sort of inflatable balloon, but my RE (and others) have described the inside of the uterus as a giant peanut butter sandwich. Even before your embie implants, it isn't that likely to go slip-sliding all over the place in there. And after it eats its way into the peanut butter? Even less likely.

    Third, yes the uterus contracts during orgasm, but the extra levels of progesterone tend to tone this down considerably during pregnancy.

    And fourth, a lot of the "don't orgasm" advice is often REs erring on the safe side. Not to mention that many of the things people do to achieve orgasm have the potential to up the risk for infection.

    I've seen many people worry about the same thing, and don't remember anyone who actually had any issues because of it. I think you are fine...try not to worry! :)
