I noticed some cramping today while at work but didn't think much of it bc I had some last week too (saw the doctor, got an u/s-everything was fine). I went to the bathroom and saw I began spotting It was brownish tinged blood, also passing some clots. I called the nurse at my OB office, she said she would talk to my OB and call me back. She told me to leave work, go home, relax and decrease my activity-and if the spotting gets worse call and have the doctor paged. I asked her about going to the ER-she said I really didn't have to, just call if I am having more problems. I went home to rest, the spotting stopped, still just a tiny bit brown and no more clots. I did hear the HB on my home fetal doppler, at least I think I did! I have my NT scan tomorrow, so I will be able to find out then if everything is ok, its just going to be a long night. Anyone experience anything like this before? Or have any idea what it could be??

T and P coming your way! I had bleeding and clots at 6 weeks due to a SCH. My SIL had the same thing you are experiencing at 12 weeks and hers was also due to a SCH, my nephew is a happy 3 month old!
Good luck at your NT scan today and hope you find the cause of the bleeding!
Ugh, spotting is so stressful! I had spotting early on at 8 weeks, and had two bleeds at 12 and 14 weeks. It was terrifying, I went into L&D for the first heavy bleed at 12 weeks, they said it was unexplained - that my cervix and baby looked great. It's still so overwhelming. GL!
Rest up. T&P are with you. I hope the spotting goes away and that tomorrow's scan shows that everything is alright! Hang in there and try to relax. (((hugs)))
Hoping that all is okay and that you have a perfect NT scan!

UGH. Sorry you are dealing with this - I was also going to suggest an SCH. I had one that was not identified until 12 weeks - and they told me if it bled, it would bleed brown. I also had a bad bleeding scare at 17 weeks - where I bled red (on a business trip none the less)..... That one was a partial placenta previa.... So I suppose it could be that too. The cramping could definetly be your uterus stretching - my OB warned me about that at 12 weeks.
Good luck with the NT scan. On the bright side at least you don't have to wait long to get some answers.
