BRU multiples discount /credit card application

We are finally going to purchase our nursery furniture later this week from BRU. When we were in the store on Saturday, the salesgirl told us that we would get a multiples discount of 10% on each item we purchase 2 of (e.g. cribs, car seats, etc.). She also said that if we applied for a BRU credit card and used the discount from that, we'd end up getting a total of 28% off the items we purchase two of.

Has anyone taken advantage of this arrangement? Can you add your completion coupon on top of this too? We were thinking we'd just buy all the big ticket items at once and open the credit card to get all the discounts we could, but it kind of seems too good to be true.

When I bought ds furniture, I used the discount for opening the cc, plus the 25 percent coupon for the tradein event, plus the furniture was on sale. It was awesome!

In my experience, discounts for opening credit cards are independent of any other offers. I *think* the multiples discount also follows that rule.

I didn't do the cc, but I took advantage of the multiples discount and the completion coupon. We were allowed to use them together. Unfortunately, only certain items are approved for the multiples discount, so make sure you take that into account.

Yeah, I never go for the credit card discount, but she specifically said that it could be used on top of the multiples discount. Just wondering if I should wait for my completion coupon to use that too. And now I'm wondering exactly which items would be covered by the multiples discount. I know she said both cribs would be covered.

That's great! They did tell us about the 25% trade-in event. Unfortunately, we have nothing to trade in!

And she said the next event is in August or September. I'll definitely have to remember to do that though.

My understanding of the multiples discount is that it's all big ticket items. I didn't know anything about it until dh was buying our high chairs and the cashier told him. He asked for it when he was buying our bottles. The cashier told them they technically didn't count but gave it to him anyways. I can't see how furniture wouldn't count but I'm certainly not an expert.

I've asked about the multiples discount, and was told it only applies to furniture, mattresses, and baby gear. You must buy two of the same item, and the pricemust be over 100 per item.

Nobody in BRU ever told me about a multiples discount!! I feel cheated and that store have been my favorite place since Black Friday. But when I purchased my furniture I did it with the Black Friday sake which was buy two dressers get a free crib. So I did that and just purchased the other one.

BRU always has coupons in the newspaper with great deals on their furniture so make sure you check their sales flyer.
