So our second IUI wasn't as successful as our first. DH had some performance anxiety and his count reflected it. We only got 500,000 motile and last IUI we had 45 mil. Kind of a bummer, but I'm going to try and stay positive. DH was so upset about it so I tried to make it like it wasn't a big deal. They want him to bank a sample for next time and he is just not having it. Mobile bumping please forgive typos!

    I'm so sorry about that.

    Is it just the whole process that's giving him anxiety? Or something specific?That's really sweet of you to stay so positive for him.

    First U/S showed one beautiful baby measuring 7w1d with a HR of 148!!! Second U/S showed baby measuring 9w0d with a HR of 173!!!

    My RE offers special collection condoms that can be used if that is you're preference. Is that an option for you and do you think it would help? Just a thought.

    Is he having to "make his deposit" at the actual clinic?  Or do you have the option to get the sample at home and then take it in..that helps us a lot.  Sorry the results werent as good as last time, but it only takes one:)

    BFP #1: 2/15/12-Ectopic/Mtx at 6 wks
    BFP #2: 10/12/12-m/c at 5 wks. 
    BFP #3: 8/27/13
    Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
    DH:MFI-Low morph (1%), DNA fragmentation: Excellent!
    5 rounds of clomid, 3 IUIs, and multiple non-medicated cycles- BFFN                                                      
    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    Sorry to hear that - that stinks. This is something I'm worried about. I'm definitely  hoping we can get the condoms they talk about. Have you asked? Or have you tried to help DH? 
    Married since 2008 | TTC #1 since 2011

    2 losses: Nov '11 and Aug '12
    Dx: Feb '13 - HSG shows clear tubes but minor diverticulitis; Borderline DOR; Low DHEA and low testosterone.
    Moving on to IUI or IVF.

    3.4.13:  Holy crap! Surprise natural BFP on cycle #19. EDD 11.12.13
    We've got a peen.....it's a boy!

    I'm so sorry for the low numbers today. I know it was probably pretty hard for you to remain positive for your hubby. Fingers crossed 500k is all you needed this time. Oh and can you and your hubby go at it tonight to help up your chances?

    I think it was a combination of things. We have over a 2 hour drive to the clinic and of course traffic was awful and then he said when he's back there that doors are slamming and he can hear people talking and walking by. He also has a huge issue with the fact that he has no lube. The doctor that did the procedure was awesome and gave us some options. DH feels like if we had an earlier time slot and he had some lube he will be fine. Maybe all this worrying is for no reason. Thanks for the support!

    We have it rough for this whole IF process, but I do feel for our men who have to work "on command" that has got to be a lot of pressure.

    TTC #1** Went off BCP July 2011

    Jan 2012 Dx PCOS by OB/Gyn


    July 2012 - Tests with RE confirmed PCOS and annovulation

    2 rounds of clomid, 5 IUI's using clomid + injectibles. 

    Surprise BFP while on break cycle due to cysts.  It's a girl! Baby "E" born on Thanksgiving Day 11/28/13

    Ugh that totally sucks =( I'm sorry.. what a story this would be if it worked! hoping for the best for you! it only takes 1!!

    Would your RE let your DH use PreSeed or mineral oil? My previous RE allowed either. We used the PreSeed and it never harmed the results.
    TTC #1 since May 2006 - We thought we were done in 2010, but we are back again!
    PCOS (anovulatory and amenorrhea) and hypothyroid.
    Currently taking Metformin 1500 MG and Synthroid.
    Prior HSG and DH SAs were clear.
    Feb 2013 - Switched clinics/RE and starting from the beginning again with some modifications.
    Current status: CD 3 appointment showed lining was too thick (11.5 mm). Endometrial biopsy scheduled for CD 11. Next steps will be based on results.
