What does CD3 blood work test for?

I have a post op LAP appt. with RE Friday, I don't think I have had this test. What is it? Should I ask for it?

There are a whole list of hormones they check with cd3 B/W (at least on your first cd3, after that they only check three or four). I believe (but since I don't have an issue I could be wrong, someone else chime in??) that AMH is the hormone that helps determine (along with AFC on cd3 U/S) your "ovarian age" ie if you have diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). The levels of LH, E2, and P4 also should be at certain levels at the start of a cycle. Mine always throws a beta in there to make absolutely sure I'm not PG before starting a cycle because the drugs would mess that up.
And often your first time getting it done many RE's check your thyroid level, A1C and pituitary output as those can effect TTC. But if you had an annual physical with your GP, often they can get this info from them. They might also check your vitamin D. This is why often the first and only time they run the usual cd3 they do a chem panel (CBC). *But all of this is from memory and being a nurses daughter.
If you have not had all these hormone levels taken, then yes...I would not only ask for it, but ask why they have NOT done it.

Thanks! Sounds like I'm good on testing,mom diabetic too, so I get A1c and thyroid checked every 3 months. My RE ordered several blood tests after the 1st time I saw her, so I bet I'm good. I'm just impatient too, I trust her, and I know she knows what she's doing!
I'm diabetic too and had half my thyroid removed in 2011 so I get that stuff done too. I see in your siggy they had both tubes removed in your lap. You will for sure be getting all the blood work you need when/if you start an IVF cycle so no worries. Like you said, I'm sure she's done the tests in the past and will do them (when need) in the future.
Now rest up well and hope you're feeling great soon.
