  • I put a heating pad on and get prenatal massages. It still hurts but I keep telling myself, not too much longer.

  • Are they rhythmic? Keep an eye on that if it comes and goes. I had back pain that sounded like that with my son. I would try the heating pad, stretching, and maybe walking it out. TP things improve.
  • I had a bit of that this afternoon. It could be some muscle Charlie horses, drink lots of water, have a warm bath and get the hubby to give you a nice back rub!

  • I'm going to start going to a chiropractor next week. I've been trying to ignore my lower back pain, but sometimes I can't stand up so I'm thinking I need help. I've heard swimming helps too. Sorry! It really sucks.

  • Heating pad, massages from MH and bio freeze occasionally are what I do.

  • I had really sore lower back muscles, and found that sleeping with stomach support (pillow wedged under my belly) was suuuper helpful

  • I am grateful every day for my chiropractor. A few weeks ago I couldn't get up off the couch, and a 5 minute walk made me want to hurl, it hurt so much. Now I'm walking up to an hour a day with just a few aches here and there. I use a warm rice bag to get loose, ice packs before bed, and I stretch every day. But the chiropractor is worth every penny. Going again today and looking forward to it!
  • loving care maternity belt. lifesaver, seriously. takes the weight and pressure of belly off of your back and hips.

This plus LOTS of water, belly support (pillow and/or belt), stretching, bouncing on the yoga ball.

  • I have been sitting on an exercise ball at work, doing prenatal yoga once a week, and I just got my first prenatal massage a couple weeks ago. These things definitely seem to be helping. Also, don't overdo it (and "overdoing it" has a whole new meaning now). Last night we got our Pack and Play and I was so excited to get it that I put the whole thing together by myself and it was a bit heavy. I had horrible sciatic pain afterward and had a hard time getting to sleep.

    Just keep swimming.
  • I would get some of those Icy Hot patches. :)
