Dolls for boys

I hope I don't get flamed for this. I don't have any problem with DS playing with "girl" dolls, but I have been on the lookout for something made specifically for boys and am having a hard time. My mom wants to get my LO some kind of doll for his first birthday (as in a human baby doll) and she asked me what to get. She found a really cute pirate doll at Walmart but said it wasn't very squishey soft. I guess we are looking for something more on the plush side rather than hard or plastic. Are there any "gender appropriate" baby doll recommendations from you ladies? Diego (from Go, Diego, Go!) was the first thing that came to mind but there's not really a lot on the market right now...this is all I could find:

We have an ebee plush for DS and he loves it. Not very human like but so loveable! Different color for each arm and let for a learning opportunity. Also grows with LO, there are dvd's that go with him.

DS has a cabbage patch baby doll. It's plush (no plastic face like the old cabbage patch kids) and is a boy. I got it at TRU.
