Dd has been cruising for a few months now. She's 11 months. She's just now starting to test herself and let go when she's standing next to things. She can stand for about 10 seconds. How long before she will be solid enough to take a step
I have to chuckle at this too. Maybe the OP just didn't word the post right because there is no way he/she could actually expect someone to know this
I wasn't LOL'ing at the OP, just at the 13.5 days.
I understood what the OP was saying, just wondering if it happens quickly or a bit longer after they start standing. Who knows w/ babes! They are crazy beings.
DD started pulling to a stand around nine months, cruising 2-3 weeks after that, and this past weekend, she took her first steps without holding onto anything. She was 11 months on Friday. Which means nothing for another child. DD1 made more progress in less time, but was about a month behind her sister on everything. I'm a firm believer that they get it in their head to do something, and then just do it.
Obviously babies develop differently guys. I was just wondering a time frame. I wasn't expecting her to walk tomorrow.
She could. That's the point, you just really never know. My DD started crawling before DS but was slow. DS went from zero crawling to crawling faster then DD in a day. All babies have their own timeline.
This reminds me of those math problems I always got wrong in middle school.
We could tell you stories about what our kids all day, but it won't really help you. She will do things on her own time. Some kids do it fast and others take longer.
ETA: My personal timeline: Cruised at 9 months. Stood unassisted shortly after. Learned to stand up on her own from a seated position at around 10.5 months. Now she can walk across the room. She was a very confident stander first though.
My older DD started letting go while standing around 10 months. She took her "first steps" a couple weeks after that. She was fully, independently walking around the house about 3 weeks after that - just after 11 months.
I think standing to first steps can happen pretty quickly, if your child is physically ready, but I don't really consider that true walking yet. (As a first time mom, I just assumed that as soon as they could take a step or two, they'd be independently walking all over the place - but that certainly wasn't the case for my DD or any other LOs I know.)
So, from standing for a few seconds to truly walking took about a month for my DD.
No idea! Mine has been standing and cruising for a couple months, which was WAY earlier than DD1. DD2 has only stood once on her own for a very short time and hasn't done it again. Even when I hold her hands, she bends her knees to sit and won't stand with holding my hands. I thought she would be walking by a year, but as the time comes, I don't think so! ( which is fine by me).

LoL. Kids all develop at different rates. Olivia is 10.5 months old and she's pretty much walking.
Standing for only 10 seconds at a time doesn't sound like LO is sturdy enough (or confident enough) for that first step just yet, but you never know.

It would be hard to say because all babies are different. I wouldn't worry about a timeframe.

I have nothing to add to this post... Except that your siggy pic of your LO is absolutely adorable! So cute.
