Re: Weds Community Checkin
I am doing well. Work has been very busy. We just launched a new platform and it is keeping me on my toes. Still in the 2ww. Feeling pretty normal.
QOTD: I love the evening hours. There is something very relaxing about snuggling on the couch with a good book after a long day at work.
LGBT Regular with an AE while TTC
And who am I? That's a secret I'll never tell.
You know you love me.

I should find out in the next two days how much my extended benefits fund is contributing towards our fertility costs. I am a part of a strong TA and contract faculty union and they have an employerfunded fund to help with health costs that aren't covered by insurance. They generally cover 25 to 50 percent but my friends already got their coverage results and are only getting 13 percent reimbursed.
QOTD: Early evening when work is over and dinner is imminent and my love and I still have several hours of awake time together.
edited to correct for percentage symbol and dash that were taken out when I posted from my phone.

FET #1 December 2014
We are doing well. We had 2 potential follicles this cycle, which is new for us since we are not using meds other than a trigger. I am feeling hopeful for #3. We have our IUI scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We are currently recruiting positive energy....so feel free to send some our way! It's nice to have company in this process and enjoy following everyone's journey.
QOTD: I used to be a night person but the past few years that has changed and I am now in love with mornings. Hot tea, cuddling in bed, catching up on trashy reality tv shows when the world is still quiet. That is my favorite time.

IUI #1 with trigger, 1/4/13 - BFN
IUI #2 with trigger, 2/1/13 BFN
IUI #3 with tigger, 2/28/12 BFP EDD 11/21/13
16 weeks and everything's going well. I'm a bit swamped with work, an online class and volunteer stuff, but it should settle down in the next few weeks.
My favorite time of day in general is the evenings, after dinner when C and I hangout and relax. Although, I will say I've been enjoying the mornings and late nights when lying in bed and tend to think more about/connect with the baby growing inside me.
My only news is that my maternity pants came in last night and it is AWESOME! While I was still able to get into my old clothes, I am welcoming these things with open arms. I'm so much more comfortable than I was before and very thankful for gap pants and jeans - way better than Target!
Good luck to everyone currently cycling! It's definitely time for a new BFP!
I love the night, well maybe love/hate. But I would say that's when I'm most productive and consistently alert.
Hi everyone! Glad to hear of people doing well in their cycles and growing babies... Hugs to you all!
I'm feeling good today, the weather is beautiful and there is a nice breeze coming in my window.
QOTD: I love mornings. I joke that I have an internal alarm at 5:15 because that is when I get up every morning. I do my fertility yoga or read, or go to the gym for swimming and yoga. I tend to go to bed pretty early because of this, which is new since I've been married.
TTC with RE since March 2012
3 missed O's, 6 IUIs = 1 BFP then 8 w M/C, 5 BFNs
(2 unmedicated IUIs, 2 clomid IUI, 2 femara IUI)
Shared maternity/partner IVF, transfer #1 BFP!
EDD 11/28/13
Everything is good in our household. We went through our baby list last night to make sure we have everything before little man arrives. We are doing good. Only thing we have left to get is a couple accessories for the breast pump. The bassinet should arrive today and we are officially ready!
QOTD: What is your favorite time of day? Why?
My favorite time of the day is around 7pm. This is the time right after dinner when A can relax and get off her feet. I help the girls get their baths, brush their teeth and read them a book of their choosing. We talk about our favorite parts of the day and A & I tuck them into bed. They are 5 & 6 and still refuse to sleep in separate rooms so its nice to hear them giggle until they fall asleep. Cant wait to see how a baby will fit into our routine/mix!
Two and a half weeks til our first u/s and the waiting game is excitingly agonizing. There is a decent possibility of twins or multiples b/c my wife had 4 good follicles before IUI. Needless to say, this suspense is just plain WILD.
As for food cravings...before conception, she hadn't eaten red meat for about 2 years. This has all changed.
Bring it on! She generally runs slightly anemic so maybe her body is craving what it needs.
My favorite time of day is weekend mornings when we're waking up with our furry babies and everyone has on their best "sleepy face".
Sending lots of + baby energy.....
We had 4 large follicles as well, but alas only one baby boy in there. I was secretly kinda hoping for twins. Good luck!
Hi Everyone,
Healz gave our update - but I just wanted to say that I LOVE having her give the injections to me at home. It totally makes me feel like we, as a team, are more in control of the process and are doing this together.
My day has been totally up and down. There's been a bit of upset at work today, not about my position, so I have been supporting some of our student staff a bit, and had a chance to check in with another support person about it via phone - which was really good. I have to work late tonight, which sucks a bit - but I like being involved with the students.
QOTD: My favourite time of day is nighttime and morning when H and I are alone in bed with no distractions and we do lots of cuddling and silly talking.

We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.
Well today I'm cycle day 23 and 8DPO! i'm having one of those days up and down but, its alright. I found out that I have been insured and didn't know but, that was a good thing to hear. So hopefully I will know if i'm pregnant or not in the next 5 days so i'm going crazy over here with all these things my body is going through.
My time of day is evening I get to unwind and spend time with my partner if i'm not at work or if she is . I love it!!
Good luck to everyone TTC! Such an exciting / frustrating time. I hope that the rollercoaster is more pleasant than unpleasant for you.
I know its obvious, but I am really amazed at how I'm getting bigger and bigger by the day
I have some maternity tops that I bought early on that won't fit for much longer. Sleeping is becoming difficult. I am having major hip pain through the night despite the maternity pillow that helped me over the last few months. I read a tip that says that you should have the pillow all the way down to your ankles to keep your legs aligned with your hips. So far that relieves it a bit. In other news, our little boy is kicking away
It is such an incredible feeling. I still get really excited when he kicks. V puts her face close to my belly and says 'This is pilot to co-pilot' and he kicks back - it is so so cool to have that kind of interaction!
Apart from not recognizing my own boobs int he mirror, some early leakage and the hip pain, I am loving this whole experience. I feel really blessed to be here!
I'd be nervous too! Our 1st cycle we had 4 mature follicles too but we did not get pregnant. But I was nervous the entire time because I did not know what was going to happen. Good luck to you both!

Hi!
I'm doing well! Working hard waiting for baby to be born, mostly. My family is being sweet to me and I love that.
Usually, my favorite time of day is the stolen hours between about 4:30 am and 7am. I like to be alone, and I like to hear the world wake up. Lately, though, it's been a little hard for me to enjoy as I'm achey and pregnant.

37, married to my favorite person in the world, DW! One darling surfer-girl (12) and one darling, sweet boy born 3/16/13.
5/2013 Started TTC #3, DW's turn: 5/2013: Diagnostics (shg) and surgery (polyp rem.) for best chances. July-Oct: IUI # 1-4, medicated, monitored, triggered. All BFN. IVF in Jan May. Sheesh. Whoop! IVF#1 cycle started 4/2/14. 5/1: 19 eggs retrieved, 8 matured, ICSI'd. 4 fertilized. Only 2 to transfer/freeze stage. 5/6: Two embryos transferred. 5/15: Beta #1 9dp5dt is 134! "Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing
A day late, but better than never! Things around here are not great. I am fighting off some kind of respiratory junk, which isn't all that fun. My Mom is very ill and in the hospital, again. I wish she would catch a break
DW and I need some alone time. She works long shifts 24 hours and she came home yesterday and had to do a ton of stuff for her fam...I miss her.
QOTD: I enjoy any time of day I get to spend hiking with the wife.
DD has been sick so I've been home with her and trying to get some work done via email. Ugh, this is not a good week to not be in the office.
Other than that, things are going well. I feel the twins moving all the time and the all day nausea I had for so long seems to be gone for good. On the down side, my stomach seems to be running out of room. :-p
I'm a day late as well, but that's because yesterday was an in-office day for me and today I'm working from home (no less work, just less stress and less running around).
Sending good thoughts to everyone in the TTC mode or the 2WW. I've been thinking back to that time period a lot lately, remembering how stressful it was but also how exciting. I have friends that are going through the journey right now and they seem to be following our exact path (2 cycles TTC, then a uterine surgery, followed by a 3 month recover period and then future TTC cycles).
Cletus the Fetus is wriggling around constantly and I love it. I know he's running out of room in there and it almost seems like he's fighting it. It makes me laugh.
QOTD: It's funny, my favorite time of day is NOT my favorite time to be awake. I LOVE sleeping (better be ready to give THAT up soon), but when I do get up early, I really love those morning hours and the world is just waking up around me and I feel like I'm ahead of the game getting things done. My favorite thing to do in that time, is walk the dog and see what's going on out there!
