Vent, feel free to ignore

Hannah is sick.  Again.  The thing that kills me is she is on an antibiotic for last week's ear infection.  How can she have a fever while she's still on amoxicillan??  I gave her Advil last night and this morning (2 days before she turned 6 month old, GASP!).

Once a week either H or I have been home with her.  There was one period that we went two weeks with her being okay.

I know it's normal and it's her body adjusting to the daycare germs.  I fully realize this.  But it sucks.  I hate seeing her nose running and hearing her congested.  I hate filling her with antibiotics this early.  I really wanted to try the chiropractor thing, but H doesn't think it's a good idea.  And since we're not in agreement about it we're not doing it.

I'm sorry, I don't like to gripe on here.  It just got to me this morning and I cried on the way to work.

Blah.  /Vent.

  • I am sorry you guys are going through this. Seeing our LOs sick is the worst! I hope Hannah feels better soon and with Spring right around the corner maybe she will start to stay healthy!

  • I am sorry she is sick again. Poor thing.

I have had to give L Benadryl every night for the last 2 weeks (okayed by the pedi) because otherwise she will wake herself up in a fit of coughs and not go back to sleep. It seems to help, but I hate having to give her so many drugs.

I didn't know that helped coughs!

Sorry Ginger. I feel ya. Connor had croup 2-3 weeks ago and never got over his cough.  Now it's turned into a cold again (wetter cough, sneezing, congested). Bring on summer.

  • You can gripe any time. That's what we are here for!!

I'm sorry your LO is sick so much. Our DS got bronchiolitis last week and like Toni's LO, his cough still hasn't gone away, which is now turned into a cold. It's terrible watching them be sick so often. Not to mention inconvenient. I realize inconvenience is the least of our worries but it's still a stress.

I have a good friend who takes her LO to Chiropractor for acid reflux and swears by it. I've wanted to at least try it but my DH is also adamantly against it. Because we don't agree I also can't do it.

    Hopefully LO feels better soon...

  • I know I'm late to the postings today, but gosh I'm sorry to hear this  :(  I hope she starts feeling well soon.  It breaks my heart to hear them sick and see them in that shape, too.  Get well soon!!!

  • It stinks to see LOs sick. We went through this for a few weeks too where it felt like if one kid was healthy, the other wasn't. Hang in there. Hopefully winter and all its germs is on the way out.
