Exciting Dinosaur News

Just learned that the Denver Museum of Nature and Science has hired Dr. Scott the Palentologist as their new curator of the Dino department.  FYI.. for those of you who do not have 3 year old boys, he is the host of Dinosaur Train!

BTW, we went to a small dino museum in our area yesterday.  C was more interested in the gift shop than the actual dino bones.  I think we'll wait a few more years and try again.

Re: Exciting Dinosaur News

  • So lucky to have C be influenced in dinosaur classes by Dr. Scott! I have found museums to be a big loss on both of my kids, until BIL pointed out that our public museum has a treasure hunt that is age appropriate.  gives the kids a direction of where to look in an exhibit.

  • Very cool! If C still likes dinosaurs when he gets bigger, you HAVE to road trip to the Royal Tyrell museum.
  • That's awesome!  We're going back there in a bit to catch the Mammoth & Mastondon exhibit.

  • Pesky, that was why we tried him out first on the Woodland Park museum first.  Not sure I wanted to spring for the Mammoths and Mastodons if he wasn't into it yet.

  • That is awesome!  I love the Dinosaur Train (even pre-kiddo) - but I guess that is partly because I am a geologist by training.  Now with our LO I have an excuse to watch it!  :p
