How many oz is DC taking per feeding?
Brynn had her 6m visit today and dropped percentiles and is now in the 30th and weighed 14.15 lbs, which happens to be the same as last week when she was there for bad diaper rash. But she is 26 inches. She only takes 4.5 oz every3 hrs and sleeps through the night. She gets a veggie or fruit in the am and then 2 tbsp of cereal for dinner. Pedi said to "try" to up her to 5 oz and see if she can tolerate it. We just recently eliminated rice from her bottle per Ped GI request bc of her starting solids.
Re: Reflux Mamas
darn nest ate my post:
Is she on solids yet? She is definitely doing better spit up wise (hope I didnt just jinx myself, lol) but just not gaining as much as theyd like.
Reid gets 5.5-6oz every 3 hours and STTN. He gets solids twice/day. Half a container of stage 1's for lunch and the other half for dinner. He doesn't get cereal in his bottle for the two times/day after his solids but does the rest of the day. I'm hoping once he eats solids more consistently, I can eliminate the rice cereal.
Not sure what he weighs, but he was 19lbs/25.5in at his 4 month visit (at 4m1d) and probably weighs at least 22-23lbs now. He's a big boy.

No, she hasn't had anything other than formula yet. We're going to start this weekend.
DD takes 6-7oz every 4ish hours.
She eats 1.5 tbsp of oatmeal with 1oz fruit in the am, and usually 1-2oz of veggie around dinner time.
Per upped her food intake by increasing .5oz at a time. Hopefully not having the rice cereal will help her to eat more at each feeding.
Acid reflux is so frustrating. Especially when LO's aren't maintaining their weight. Such stress on us mamas.
Mason is eating three 6 oz bottles during the day and then around 5:00 pm he takes a 3 oz bottle. Before bed he'll take anywhere between 3-6 oz. He isn't STTN and takes one 6 oz bottle in the nighttime. He isn't eating solids yet. I don't know that he's dropped weight but I believe he's only maintaining now and not gaining.
Thanks ladies.
She has been doing much better. She has been on prevacad for sometime now twice a day. She still spits up but its not the projectile vomiting dailing like it was. Put it this way most days we dont change 3 plus times, lol.
I am thinkinging doing the cereal twice a day as well as the fruit in the am and then a veggie at night. But I am going to wait till after I see how she does with teh 5oz bottles. We havent finsihed introducing all the stage 1 fruits yet. She loves the food though.
