Good news and bad news....

About 2 weeks ago I sent in an application for Michaela for a "talent" agency.  I put talent in quotes because she is 18 months old.  He talent is going potty.  However, I got a letter today saying they are going to accept her and represent her.  (Good News)  WHOO HOO my baby could be a star! 

Don't get me wrong, I know that this could be a long shot that she ever gets called or that if she does that she will be put in print or on the screen.  But I figured it can't hurt and may be fun for a while.

Here is the bad news, they want a one time fee of $198 for "insurance" due to the fact that the company pays for the clients even if there are "no shows".  I understand this and like the idea of it.  However I don't have an extra $200 just laying around to pay them. 

I have called and left a message with the lady who's card was attached so hopefully I will get some help there. 

No real point to this other than just throwing it out there.

Oh and PS the name of the company is QuickBook Nationwide.

    That is great. I don't think legit agencies require any sort of payment though. Just make sure it's legit.

    Sadly, I think the $200 fee is pretty standard with those agencies - boooo.

    I have reasearched it a bit and it seems pretty standard. Also there are a bunch of people that have been with them for a long time and are super happy with them.  SOOOOO I am going to wait until I get a phone call back and see what the people say.

    Just got a call from Paul. And it's a go! I can pay the 200 whenever so I can save it up which will only take about a month or so. And then we are off to the races. All her pics are done however I want to do them. I can pay for professional pics or I can do them myself.
    Once she is in an add or two I can use them.
