The doctor says he doesn't know what's keeping you inside, and that it's time for you to come out. I've been having strong contractions for weeks. I think you need to make up your mind. It's fun out here. We're all dying to meet you. So what do you say??
Love, Mommy
Dear DH -
Thank you for everything. I've been trying to keep up with everything, but I know I've been rather useless lately. Thank you for stepping up. Sorry for all of the false labor scares. Hopefully DD2 will be ready soon and we can work on our new normal.
Love, Wifey
Dear DD1 -
You're going to be an awesome big sister. We love you tons!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
Dear Boss -
Thank you for being so understanding and allowing me to WFH full time until the baby arrives. My doctor is very concerned about the speed of labor once things get going, and I would never make it to the hospital if I got stuck in rush hour traffic coming out of the city. Thanks so much for being understanding.
Can you please produce a period already? This late thing is stressing me out and the Chocolate donuts im craving are wrecking my "diet".
Dear DD,
Please, please, please outgrow the screaming phase. Please? Mommy is being super patient but the constant horror movie screams are driving me batty! Also, Mommy gets up at 4am for work...you dont have to wake up and follow me around until I leave...it breaks my heart and you need your sleep growing girl!
Dear DH,
I am hoping that we have finally had a breakthrough this past wknd and things will be better form now on. I love you very much and hate fighting!
Dear DH, You are wonderful, and you are my rock. Thanks for stepping up since I've been sick. I appreciate it (and you) more than I can say.
Dear Grandpop, I am so sad to lose you, but I know you're in pain, and there's nothing that can be done to save you. I wish you peace and am sending you love and comfort.
Dear Boss and Coworkers, You guys are the most awesome people, and I love working with you! Thanks for being great.
Dear Puppy, You seem to know when we are ill or upset, and you're a fantastic dog. Thanks for giving me all sorts of licks and snuggles.
Dear Baby, THANK YOU most of all for not waking up every hour like you did last week. Now if you could just sleep past 5 AM, I'd be ever so grateful.
Dear Poster on the Baby Showers Board who shall remain nameless for her own protection, Just because you want it doesn't mean it's a good idea; a baby shower is not all about you and everything you want. Only people to whom invitations are addressed are actually invited. A baby shower is NOT a wedding, and is not anywhere close to equivalent in meaning. And please, for the love of everything, start using proper caps and punctuation. And learn the difference between your/you're and there/their/they're before I attempt to smack you through the computer screen.
Follow the biopsy instructions lab tech's send you. Don't make them up as you go along. Presumably you had to learn to read in your 20+ years of education. If you did not, have your nurse sound out the big words like "seal" and "the" and "tube".
If you are unable, please hand in your stethoscope and see me after class.
I realize you have been around longer than me. And that we have never worked together. And that as a result, you don't know me; what I'm capable of; or my previous successes at this organization. However, that does not give you the right to talk down to me. Or steal my client. Or give me poor direction -- then not own up to it when the owner of the company emails me back a sour note.
I'm super excited to see you tonight!! I'm so glad y'all are getting to fly in for DD's birthday! 8 months is too long!
Love,
Your daughter who misses you
Dear DD,
I know you don't remember the people who are coming to stay tonight, but they are your grandparents who love you. Please warm up to them quickly so they can give you cuddles!
Thank you very much for helping me out this week! Your help is so appreciated and helping me keep my sanity.
Love Grateful Daughter
Dear DD1
Thank you for helping mommy out this week and being an awesome daughter and big sister to your brother and sister.
Love Mommy
Dear DH
I know you had to go on this business trip for 6 days and this is unusual for you. But please come home! It snowed a ton last night and I had to use the massive snowblower which is super heavy. Very hard to snowblow to get out of the garage with 3 kids in the house. But I have learned this week that the kids love cereal for dinner!
You could have come last week when I wasn't so busy, but you decided to come now, when I have a million meetings and hardly any time to finish what I have to in the time between...guess what though...I busted it out anyhow...so nice try!
Now if I can just run the errands I need to for home...that would be awesome.
Thank you for making sure I live in snow free areas. I cannot drive on it, and if I had to shovel before or after work, or pretty much ever, I think we would become hermits. I don't have the time or energy to deal with snow. When DH sends out resumes, please let the ones to snowy places get lost and the ones that go to non-snowy places yield interviews.
I'm so sorry that you have to live in a nursing home now, and that I won't be able to go see you again for a while. I pray that you find peace in your remaining days.
Love, Daughter #3
Dear DH,
Thanks so much for taking care of the boys so I could fly to TX to see my parents. I was a little scared that you wouldn't be able to handle thing by yourself, but you really stepped up to the plate! I love you.

Dear DS1,
I can't believe you're almost 4 years old! I can't wait to see you have fun with all of your friends at your party this weekend. I love you more than you know...

Dear DS2,
You are the cutest thing I have ever seen, and I just want to stop time so you will stay this way forever. I love you always...

Dear Sickness:
Please leave my babies alone. I'm really sick of seeing you every freaking week.
GO AWAY.

Dear Sinuses,
This headache and congestion better just be a weather system and not signs that I'm getting sick again.
Sincerely,
This pregnant lady who is saving all of her leave time for maternity leave and who can't take any of the good medicine.
Dear manager,
Is it really hard to get an extra light bulb in here? Why should I have to buy it? What happens when the last one burns out?
Dear DS,
I know DC is rough right now...only a few more months before we don't have to deal with it for a while.
