random boob question

so i am pretty intent on at least attempting to breast feed in the best interest of the LO but at 37 weeks I have had no sign of leaky boobs or anything...

should i be concerned? not that i want to start leaking but i am just curious.

anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Re: random boob question

  • I didn't leak with the first and ended up with oversupply issues. I haven't leaked at all with this one either and am anticipating being able to breadtfeed again. Leaking doesn't really mean much one way or another.

  • No leaking for me last time and nothing yet during this pregnancy.  I didn't have an awesome supply, but it was ok for a few months.

  • Never leaked a drop last time and breast fed exclusively with no problems!

    This.

  • Still no leaking here, either.

  • Never had any leaking, and breastfed for a full year.  The only problem I had was getting a good latch.  I highly recommend seeing a lactation consultant in the hospital, and having a follow-up appointment a week-2 weeks later if you're interested in breastfeeding.  Having that individualized support was key.
  • Never leaked, but if you squeezed/expressed the nipples could you see stuff come out? that was my case until baby was here then at night sometimes I would leak.

  • I never leaked with my DD and successfully breastfed her for 20 months.
  • Our birthing class teacher is a lactation consultant as well and she said that leaking or not leaking has no relation to how you'll be able to breastfeed.

I've also had absolutely no leaking.

I hadn't noticed leakage at all (FTM) but I did notice some crustiness on my nipples when I was getting ready to take a shower (TMI, sorry) and when I went to clean it off and squeezed there was something that could've been milk coming out.  So I decided to not do that again in fear of starting labor early.
