DH took DD for her Dr. appt. this morning. I had him text me a play-by-play while I was at work.
At first she weighed in at ~20 lbs. I made them re-weigh her because that would mean she's lost 2 lbs in the past few months and I KNOW she's been getting bigger. Her 12 month onesies are getting difficult to snap.
They tried her in the baby scale and she came out to 22.8 which is still lower than I was expecting but not a dramatic loss.
And then they couldn't give her any of her shots because we brought her in 2 days(!!) early. I was a little peeved because THEY should've thought about that when booking our appt.
So now DH has to take her BACK to the Dr.'s on Thursday for shots.
Re: 18 month checkup
How annoying!
M didn't gain as much weight as I expected either. She was 23lb 2 oz and 33.5in crazy little string bean.
I caN't speak for Jenn, but in my Dr's practice, it's not so much about being 18 months, but rather how long it's been since her last round of shots. So if my kid had her 12 month appointment (and shots) early, then she'd be able to get her 18 month shots early as well..
That's exactly it. It's the number of days since the last round of shots. And the number of days in a month does have some affect.
Same here. The 12 month ones had to be AFTER her birthday. But these ones needed to be I think 90 days after her 15 month ones.
