I need your help! We have a cleaning service that we've been using for almost 2 years now and we suspected about a month ago that they were stealing medications from us. It can only be them - some more meds went missing in the last 2 weeks and they're the only ones that have been in the house (other than DH & I).
In a nutshell, we're missing about 45 Percocet that were prescribed mid-2012 (DH had some major dental work done - but he tolerates pain really well and doesn't need them. I'm allergic to the stuff, so I can't take them). Anyway, it's a crew of 2 ladies who regularly clean for us. One of the ladies is wonderful - friendly, kind, thoughtful. The other lady is nice too, but we're more like employer/employee - KWIM? We're going to stop the service & find another one, but I'm worried about calling and cancelling. Should I tell them why I'm cancelling - or do I just let cancel and leave it at that?

Agreed on the PP's approach. If there have been other complaints, this might indicate a trend that the company should know about.
We have someone come in every once in a while and I never thought to check the stock on my leftover "good drugs" from the postpartum period! Gotta do that.

Ohhh good point. I would like to assume that they would do their best to investigate/or give a warning first since you don't know which one is stealing. Plus if this is the first complaint it wouldn't warrant firing bc in theory it could be your babysitter, family member, etc. even though u know it's not.

IMO you should tell rather it's a small or big company. I would think a big company would do a drug test on both to see which one it was. Also they know their employees and who is more than likely the culprit.
If it was me I'd be mad they were stealing from me. But my bigger concern would be the persons life. I know some people feel an addict is a crappy person and who cares about them. I don't feel that way. They are responsible for their actions for sure. This company could offer rehab (I know one that did) and you could change the persons life. Or they could get fired and that could be the wake up call the need.
In any case I'd call and tell.
ETA: You're not responsible for their life of course. I just was trying to say telling isn't always bad; it could be exactly what they need.
I am so sorry. I lurk on this board because I have had two losses, am pregnant, and have a living son(8). But haven't done a intro because I haven't given birth after my losses. Anyway i was jumping boards and didn't notice I wasn't on one mine.
I didn't want to DD. Again sorry.

No worries! Thank you for you input - I appreciate it! And...I didn't think that you were implying anything, so don't worry about that either. I'm sorry for your losses & congratulations on your upcoming LO!
