May 2012 Moms

3 years

It's been three years straight that I've been pregnant or breastfeeding! It was three years ago that I found out I was pregnant with ds 2 my Nathan. It's crazy that my body and my hormones have not been mine for three years, it's amazing to know that for three years straight my body has been growing another living thing. It's overwhelming to not remember what it feels like to be me, not a hormone filled me.

I just thought I'd share how I'm feeling since you girls will understand.

How are you feeling? Back to yourself? Still hormone crazed? Those of you who are pregnant again how are you feeling?

Re: 3 years

  • Three years straight!  That's impressive!  I've only been at it for a year and half. I am still totally in awe of the fact that I made a human, lol.  It seems so surreal.  I am still BFing, but I feel pretty much like my old self.  I have for a few months now.  I definitely get a little more emotional about babies and children, especially if it's a sad story, but I don't know if that's nursing hormones or just the fact that I can relate now.

  • DS is our first and will likely be our only and he has been exclusively FF from birth so I guess I can't really relate. Plus, I never got the feeling of being in awe at the fact that I was growing a human while I was pregnant...never really got the whole "it is a miracle and it is beautiful" thought but sometimes I wish that I could be more sentimental, I guess, about it.
