Has anyone else developed any allergies?

I'm pretty sure I'm suddenly allergic to pineapple!  I had some last week and some tonight and both times I suddenly started swelling up in my hands, feet, and face.  I'm going to ask my OB about it on Thursday but right now I'm assuming this is sort of normal based on a google search.  Hopefully it's nothing to worry about!

Re: Has anyone else developed any allergies?

  • I developed an allergy to grass, weeds, and some pollen when I was pregnant with DD (DH is allergic to everything, I swear!). They subsided after pregnancy but never went away completely and flaired back up again this time.

  • Wheat. I'm not only severely intolerant, it I also get a sore throat and stuffed up pretty bad from the smallest cross contamination.

  • I became very allergic to my dogs! No new food allergies though.
  • I was wondering about this.  I noticed in the past 2 weeks that eggs give me terrible terrible digestive issues, whereas they have always been a big staple of my diet since I don't eat red meat.

  • Coca Cola. I'm good with any other Coke product (Dr. Pepper, sprite, fanta...). Coke floats have been one of my big cravings this whole pregnancy, otherwise I never drink coke (although I have never had problems in the past). But I guess at about 25 weeks or so, I started breaking out in hives in the middle of the night, accompanied by swollen hands. I started tracking everything I ate and we just summed it up to the coke. I was thinking maybe a lactose allergy all of a sudden, but I'm still able to have dairy, and I've continued to eat the same ice cream. A week or two ago we were somewhere and DH had a coke, and I took a few sips to take some Tylenol and sure enough I broke out in hives later that night.

  • I developed seasonal allergies that I had never had before during my pregnancy with DD and still have those issues years later. From what I've heard it's pretty common (at least for seasonal allergies)-
