We have the top 4 front and bottom 4 front, and I just noticed what seems to be a molar the other day. That molar has been her first tooth in 4 months. She won't let me close enough to have a good look, so I don't know if there are any more than that.
lol, I just wanted to share my giggles with you guys - when some of you say "we have a total of ___ teeth," and I think, "That's not very many teeth between the whole family".
And then I think of rednecks.
And then I think, "Rednecks had to have invented the toothbrush. Otherwise it would be called a teethbrush."

Oh NF, have I ever told you how much I enjoy the daily dose of giggles you give me? Because I really do
Zero. I was really hoping he'd get one before his 18 month appointment this week because I've read that 18 months is the "he should have teeth by now, and we need to do something about it" cut off.

How does one "do something about" teeth not growing in? Not being sarcastic or snarky, promise, I'm just wondering. Like, seriously, what will they when they see he hasn't gotten any teeth?

I've heard that they cut the gums, but that's from someone of my parents' generation. I don't know if they still do that.
I spent an evening researching "late teething," and I was really shocked at the lack of information available about it (and what, if anything, is done), even on the ADA website.
He has 11, I think, including 3 molars. Most of them came in within the last month...it's been fun around here. I think he got 6 recently. Definitely all three molars came in within a week of each other.

do you feel any below the gums yet? i think a dentist will do X-rays to make sure they are there. At least, that is what I read.
DS has eight front teeth four top, four bottom.nbsp; He'll be up to twelve once all four molars finish coming in.nbsp; Who does all four molars at once!?nbsp; Sheesh!nbsp; It's been as fun as it sounds, but at least it'll be over with!
Poor DD had all molars and eye teeth at once. Two months of pure hell.
I'm pretty sure they are there - one of the top ones really looks like it's ready to come through. We go to the doctor on Friday, and then we'll figure out a next step from there.
Six on top, six on bottom (finally...the last molar on the bottom took quite awhile). They are the four up front, top & bottom, and then the four first year molars.

There's a pediatric dentist who posts on Parenting and she's done
"Ask a pediatric dentist" posts in the
past. I can't remember her name
but maybe if you search you can find
the thread or just try paging her
generally over there and she can give you some sort of idea of what to
expect?

Yep.
12 total
4 top, 4 bottom, and the first 4 molars. Waiting for the 4 K9's or eye teeth
