Stupid me, I answered my phone while on the El today and it was stolen right out of my hands. I don't really care about the phone, but I lost a bunch of photos because I hadn't done a transfer in a while. Plus the one that I am using right now just isn't the same as my old one.
I also was stupid in that my instincts kicked in and I chased after the guy. Afterwards when I thought about it, I realized it could have turned violent.
And I said the word "fvcker" in front of a bunch of kids on the train. I was pretty embarrassed about that too.

That totally sucks but I am glad you are okay.
We are having major issue at the station near me where commuters are being mugged.
Yeah I know. It was instinct, I didn't even think about it. I'm so angry about the whole thing!
Noooo not the iPhone 5! I'm getting one in a couple weeks and that's definitely a fear. That definitely stinks and my instincts would have kicked in too and I would have just seen red. It just makes me sad and angry that stuff like that happens. My old ipod touch was stolen by a customer when my back was turned back when I was working in the hotel gift shop. I wanted to hurt that guy.
Sorry that happened to you

I gotta say though that thefts don't just occur downtown. The eventual death of a lady who fell down the stairs after an escaping thief pushed passed her occurred at the Fullerton Brown line. I looked that up to be sure and that happened almost two years ago. So sad!
To the OP- Sorry you lost your photos! I love this city but sometimes the crime really gets me down.
