Trying to Get Pregnant

NTTGPR: Family/Lifestyle Bloggers

So I am a blog reader. I tend to gravitate towards lifestyle/DIY type blogs like YHL, nice girl notes, bower power, bleubird vintage and the like. Usually there is a "mommy"/parenting component.

I go between envying these ladies (and some gents) for their financial profits off of chronicling their day to day lives and wondering about the ethics/impact that having their lives blogged about all over the internet will have on the kids as they grow up. I'm pretty sure I've read about the toilet training of toddlers recently, complete with photos of children on toilets. Can you imagine that being pulled out when you are in high school?

I personally think people can make their cash money however they want, and we do come from an over-sharing society anyways. But, then again sometimes it creeps me out. Just wondering what thoughts you ladies have on the topic. Am I alone in this?

  • My husband and I are pretty private people so it's not something that I would do but I do enjoy reading them.

  • I blog but I don't do it to make money and I am very careful about what I share on there.  We are careful in general about what we share because of that "will our kid like this shared if she were 16" thought.
