STMs, labor question

I am going to be a STM. With my first DD I had very low fluid at 36 weeks, was put on bed rest for a week, fluid went up and then went down and she was breech so we ended up having a csection at 37.5 weeks. Maybe 2, at most 3 days before my csection I started having some pretty bad back pain and I think I started losing my mucus plug. I felt like I was probably starting to go into labor on my own but never had any contractions or anything else.

I'm 36 weeks now with another breech DD and low fluid. I've been on bed rest for almost 6 weeks now and will be having a csection at 39 weeks unless I go into labor on my own and will be sent in for one then.

My questions is, what are the chances of me going into labor on my own around the same time as I did with my first? I want LO to be healthy and safe but I'm beyond miserable at this point. Insane back pain on a normal basis, inconsistent contractions for about a week now, 2-3 hours of sleep each night and just not feeling myself lately at all. Not sure if this could have anything to do with labor but is it possible I could start to go on my own in the next week or so like I thought I was the first time around?

So sorry this ended up being a little longer than I planned and hope it all made sense. TIA for any advice!!

Re: STMs, labor question

  • I don't think there's any real way to predict, mama. I'm wondering the same bc DS was born at 37 weeks.

  • My first was born a few days before 39 weeks and my second at 37 weeks. Both came naturally and were totally healthy and good sized babies. I have GD this time and my baby has been consistently measuring large. The doctor expected me to go around 36 weeks this time. Yet here I sit at 38 and a half weeks with no baby...
