Physically at work but can't focus on anything lol

I work full time and plan to until labor begins but Ican't think about anything except the baby and what the first few weeks, months will be like.  I so wish I could be doen with work but I would just sit at home and do the same thing lol.  I bet everyone else is feelign the same.  Gah..I just need to find ways to keep me busy for the next few weeks.  :)  Can't wait!!!  My heart is ready to explode with love goo all over this little girl  LOL

  • I know what you mean.  Since 36 weeks I have been so over work.  I am so ready to be done and really wish I could start my leave before she is born.  I am planning on working up until my due date if not a few days past.  I really want to be able to spend as much time at home after she is born but have no desire to be here anymore.

I am a guidance counselor in a high school.  Thankfully, there hasn't been any real problems have needed my attention lately.  I mean I know that if something came up I will be able to address the situation but I am just so not here.  I feel like I am just going through the motions because my brain is so far from here. Hopefully, the next 9ish days of work will be easy.

  • Ditto!  It would be SO much easier if I had any clue as to when this kiddo was going to show up!  I know as a FTM chances are I'll go longer than early, but I hope against hope that I won't be 41+ weeks.  I had several preterm labor scares, and everybody around me is positive I'll go early (there was a huge sigh of relief when I made it to all of my baby showers!), but as my Doctor put it, preterm scares don't mean that you won't be past due hopping up and down on a trampoline trying to get the kid out...  But with respect to work, I'm really lucky that I have my own office, which will be great for pumping and all of that, but right now it also makes me really inclined to just be on the bump and baby daydream.
