Bossy Toddler

DD is super bossy. Even her daycare teachers talk about it, but everyone thinks it's so cute because she's so little. Not so cute when she comes home and tries to run the show. Her latest thing is not allowing DH to touch me. No kisses, no hugs, no hand holding, no feet or back rubs. Nothing. He can't even lint roll the dog hair off of me before I leave in the morning. If she sees us even brush up against each other, she'll run over screeching and push us apart saying, "NO!!".

Anyone else dealing with a teeny dictator? Is this something she'll grow out of? Will DH someday be able to once again greet me with a kiss on the cheek?

Re: Bossy Toddler

  • It is cute but sounds like it could get old pretty fast.
Alastair doesn't do that yet, but my nephew used to. Don't give in, keep kissing and hugging each other. They gave on and now he is 4.5 and runs the place. In favt, his brother did not get breastfed because he didnt want him to be.

  • I am not allowed to color. If I pick up a crayon it gets ripped out of my hand. We are going to stop that asap. Thanks goodness LO does not know the word "no" even though I must say it a million times a day.
