WDYD? Sex?

So this morning I pulled DD in bed to nurse before DH had to get up for work. He rolls over and says "so when she's done I can go put her in her chair with a cracker and we can have some fun time". I said "no, I don't like leaving her with food because A-she could choke and B- her chair is low enough the dogs can reach her and as much as I trust them I don't want to risk an accident meaning she gets bit".

Well he gets out of bed kind of grumpy and goes to shave, then comes back and says "so do you not want to leave her on the bed after we shower anymore either cause that's the same" (to explain sometimes I shower with DD then DH wraps her in a towel and puts her on our bed to nap then hops in the shower with me). I said "well TBH, now that she's more mobile and IF she woke up she COULD crawl off the bed so yeah it DOES make me nervous". So he left for work all grumpy.

WDYD when it comes to sex? Where do you leave your LOs? DH and I are too tired at the end of the day 80% of the time and unless she's sleeping she doesn't like being left in her crib or playpen. I get that DH is sexually frustrated because I've been working so much and so exhausted but I can't really change that.

    thankfully we still have it in us after he goes to bed... and maybe sometimes we will get up a little before he does, so we take advantage of that time as well...

    I definitely wouldn't leave her in either of those places, for the reasons you said.

    This one time DH and I had sex while she was asleep in her crib.  That's about all I got.  We've got to start making more of an effort.

    I try to put them to bed a little early OR weekend nap time. Or sometimes they just stay in their cribs and play or scream. In the shower with the fan on its hard to hear. Honestly I'm not above leaving my kids in their cribs fussing so I can shower alone or with dh they have to learn to play alone at some point.

    Now that DD is going to bed at 8-8:30 at night, instead of 10-11:30 and STTN, we have managed a few times in the evenings. We also like to take advantage of weekend naptimes. And I will say we are not above dropping her off for some grandma and grandpa time for a couple hours to "run errands" and instead going home for some us time.

    DD is usually in bed by 8-830 pm so we have taken advantage of that time together. I sometimes am exhausted, but I try to muster up the energy and am always glad I did. It's important for your relationship. We also are lucky that DD likes to play in her playpen so we'll put a baby einstein DVD in and she's content for 20 ish minutes on the weekends.

    As tired as we are at night, we both make an effort to have some alone time at least once a week. It's not a whole lot of time, but it's what we can do right now as we both work and are sleep deprived. Surprisingly, once we are "in the moment" neither or us are tired anymore!

    We only have sex when the kids are sleeping so either naptime or bedtime.  Well, even if LO is in his crib awake and playing we have done it.  But he is always in his crib.  I know it's hard at the end of the day but sometimes you just gotta push through the tiredness for some fun ;)  We have also done it some early mornings before the kids wake up.  Granted, this only happens maybe once a week but we try to make it happen.

    This, but we almost never do for different reasons. But in the event that we do, it is after DS is asleep in his crib.

    Thanks for the replies ladies, I just don't HAVE weekends very often anymore since I'm working 2 jobs. And for being tired, I've fallen asleep on DH during sex I'm so tired. I mean litterally on him, I was on top and I fell alseep. He thinks I might have narcolepsy or something, I think I scared him lol. Sigh, I just wish she'd enjoy being in her crib or playpen alone for a bit; its hard to get "in the mood" when she's screaming her head off :/

    This. Or nap time. Sometimes the chores just have to wait. I don't know about you but we can do it pretty quickly so everyone's happy and it maybe cost be 15 minutes of sleep, LOL!

    Either after LO goes to bed (she's usually asleep in her crib by 7:30pm) or on the playroom floor cushions (I know bad mommy - but she's happy playing with her toys and safe in the room)
