Hello Ladies!

Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I'm a stay at home mom and newlywed in Western MA to an awesome little boy who was born May 3rd... after a 52hr water breakage to csection birthing episode lol... and I've been turning to this group from afar for advice all the while, but have decided its about time I step out of the shadows and start participating too! I'm really looking fwd to sharing this experience with you ladies!
And ps I have a tendancy to use smiley faces rather excessively, but apparently that's a no go here formatting wise, so please don't think I'm a total weirdo if you see : all over my posts while I get used to that haha

    Welcome! 52 hours?! Wow. I had thought that after your water breaks, the baby needs to be delivered within 24 hours due to risk of infection.

    It was a concern of everyone's for sure but my midwife said 24hrs is a guideline not a rule so they kept a close eye on everything while trying to let the labor run its course.
    My water broke 2wks early late night on April 30th, after a very anticlimatic day of nothing I was induced the night of May 1st, labored through the night and all of the 2nd, and after 7hrs of active pushing to no avail bc his big ol 95th percentile head couldn't get past my pelvic bone, I was brought in for an emergency Csection and my son arrived at 1:11am on May 3rd.

    My birth plan going into this was an all natural water birth LOL

       EDD for #2 is December 8th, 2013, so excited for our 2nd team green baby!

    Haha ain't it the truth though!
    We quit our jobs in the city and moved out to Western MA to go back to school and pursue our 'dream jobs' ... First month there we were preggo... Then my water broke 2wks early in the middle of one of my husband's final exams for grad school LOL
