It's a boy!

Andrew Cary was born at 11:56pm on February 25, arriving just in time to share my birthday! He is 8lbs, 11oz, at 38w5d. I have a history of fast labors, so we went to the hospital on the advice of my doula when my pretty painless contractions hit 7 minutes apart. I knew I was 6cms earlier today, and I was pretty much the same but easily stretchable to 7cms or more when I arrived with consistent but extremely mild contractions. The contractions died out at the hospital, and they broke my water in lieu of any other interventions. He was born 45 minutes later in a medfree birth. Seems impossible, but I had forgotten how squishy and wonderful newborns are! Good luck to everyone!
