This feels like a dumb question, but I'm hoping you ladies can help me out. We are going to start solids in the next month to six weeks and I want to start purchasing utensils. Much like registering for the baby, I feel a little overwhelmed.
What do I really need? Spoons and bowls? Anything else? My intention is to make his food, so I know ice cube trays or other storage items would be helpful. DS is also in DC so maybe I need a few extra things so I can make food transportation easier? What have you found useful? Or what have you bought that you've never used and wish you hadn't bought?
TIA!

This.
How are you going to make his food? Do you have a special machine that makes only baby food? Like the Baby Bullet?
If you don't, I would suggest starting with a hand grinder. I've heard a lot of bad things about the processors that just make baby food (that they grow mold really fast, even if you clean them every time), but maybe someone can prove me wrong?
I bought a hand grinder, and it's super easy to use. I think as far as steaming the food goes, I'm just going to use one that goes into a pot and make a ton at a time, or see if there are any steamers that are any good (and maybe see if they have a 2 in 1 steamer/thaw-er).
Hope that helps!
