Light Bleeding

My co worker this morning had some bleeding...it was about the size of a half dollar coin. She called the dr and he stated that if she started bleeding more and started having cramps he wants her in. It has stopped except for when she wipes and no cramps. She went last week for her first blood test...her numbers were 20,000 went yesterday and had more blood work and the numbers were 37,000. I think its normal but want to tell her the opinion of others.

There is a big difference between spotting and bleeding. I had red bleeding a few months ago at week six and had a miscarriage. This time around I have had daily brown spotting since week 7 (currently on week 8), that is only there when I wipe and only sometimes when I go to the bathroom. I saw my doctor a few days ago, I had a sonogram and the baby was doing great. He said brown spotting is completely normal, and if the color changed from brown to red or is accompanied by cramping to come right in.

Spotting and bleeding can be really tricky because there can be a lot of reasons behind it. If your co-worker is really concerned I would say she needs to push for a sonogram to make sure there is no bleeding or issues.
