Re: MoMs to be check in!
I'm sorry for the late check in yet again! I am an accountant at a big company and we are filing our annual financial report tomorrow, so work has been very busy since the beginning of January. Hoping things slow down after tomorrow, although my husband and I are closing on our new house on Thursday and moving on Saturday, so they probably won't!
Update: Had an ultrasound today, and am so happy to report that both girls seem to have had a growth spurt in the last few weeks. They are both just shy of 3 pounds, with only an ounce difference between them. They went from measuring in the 23rd and 30th percentile a few weeks ago to around the 45th! My cervix is still closed and is 2.4 cm, so I'm happy about that too. Baby B's kidneys have been a tad too dilated for about six weeks now, so we are still keeping an eye on that. I'm scared she's going to need surgery soon after she's born, although to my knowledge her kidneys are still within the normal range, just on the high end of that range.
QOTW: I live in Chicago. My favorite thing about living here is the nice hot sunny summers and all the fun things to do here in the summer - Cubs games, rooftop bars, grilling out, the lakeshore... I also love how affordable it is for a big city and how easy to get around by either car or public transportation.
Qotw: I'm in northern Virginia, and I guess the thing I love about this area is that there's never something we don't have around here. Great restaurants, leading drs, history, we've got it all.
Update: Not much to report, I have an echocardiogram for each baby scheduled on Friday, hopefully all goes well. I also have my regular two week appt. on Friday.
QOTW: I live in Denver and I love the weather. During the winter, it can be cold and snowy (like yesterday we had 10 inches) one day and 60 degrees the next. We also don't have humidity in the summer.
QOTW: I live in Bayonne Nj. I really would like to move somewhere else. Perhaps another town...or even out of state if possible. The only good thing is that I am close to NYC.
Update: I hit 30 weeks tomorrow and had an OB appointment today. Both babies look good and are now head down. He told me that at my last growth ultrasound 2 weeks ago Baby A was 55th percentile and Baby B was 48th so that's pretty good!
QOTW: I love that we live near so much fun stuff for my boys: children's museums, theme parks, the beach, an aquarium, a zoo. It's great and gives us lots of options for things to do with them. I also love that we get such awesome fresh seafood here. Yum. Can't wait til I'm no longer pregnant and can get back to slurping some raw oysters.
I'm 34 wks 3 days and doing well pg wise, but once again sick:( today I got my csection date of 3/26, but most likely will deliver prior.
I love how pretty it is here and how there are so many family and cultural events.

I also live in Denver and love the weather, although wish this year had a few more snowstorms then we have!
Update: C-section is this Friday! I actually begged MFM this morning to move it up because this weekend was physically miserable for me. I haven't had this much pain and discomfort the entire pregnancy (pelvic bone separation and possible Cholestatis). Unfortunately, they're sticking with Friday. I know it's for the best and I can make it, but I was just at a low spot today and was hoping for a quick fix, lol.
QOTW: I love that we can drive a couple of miles in one direction and be in the country and enjoy nature, then drive a couple of miles in the other direction and enjoy city living.

8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!
I'm really getting tired... creeping on 29 weeks and I can see a Wall in my near future. I went to Home Goods and World Market today (that's ALL I did today) and I feel like I ran a marathon. It feels like someone is trying to pull my legs off... I guess it's the loosening of the ligaments in my hips, but it's been killing me for days.
I just moved to the Chicago suburbs from Hong Kong (I've lived in California and Pennsylvania also in the past 5 years), and I'm feeling like I don't really know the area yet, but I do like the local amenities and how cute our little town is.
1st & Only BFP: 1st IVF w/ ICSI, 3dt of 2 7-cell, grade 2 embryos on 8/25/12
Beta #1 9/5: 87.2 BFP! - Beta #2 9/7: 248 - 1st US @ 6w3d Two Heartbeats! - MoDi Girls!
Update: Doing pretty well my feet/legs have started swelling but other than that business as usual. My extremely large stomach got in the way of a bowl of boiling water and ended up with a large burn and blisters, duoh I couldn't believe that happened.
QOTD: Our neighborhood it so friendly and within walking distance to Parks, Schools, downtown (with events like concerts, farmers markets, etc), libraries. It makes you feel like you are in an urban area even though its the suburbs.
You can keep your snow in Denver! Snow and cold weather is my LEAST favorite thing about where I live!
I was feeling so anxious over the weekend (too much internet and Dr. google I think) so I asked my Dr. If I could stop in for a heartbeat check today. All was well and it eased my mind.
I love that we live in a family friendly area. It's a great place to raise a family. We enjoy all four seasons so there is always something to do.
Hi there! All is going well. Found out today that my twins are both girls! Also, I know they're di/di but I do not know if they're fraternal (for purposes of the record above).
Hmmm....I live in LA. There's a lot that I don't love. I guess I love the diversity of food available here.
Thanks!
Update: At our ultrasound this morning, the boys were estimated to be 4.4 pounds & 4.3 pounds, which seems great. I forgot to ask about my cervix measurement, but since nobody raised a concern (and I do know they measured it), I'm also taking that to be a good sign. My DH is leaving for a 5-day cross country work trip on Sunday, so I'm hoping for boring status quo the entire time he's gone! I'm finding it really difficult to get comfortable in any position - whether sitting, reclining, lying, or walking, and that's starting to frustrate me. Oh - and Baby A is still breech, so I went to the chiropractor today & will begin working on some of the spinningbabies techniques... I really am hoping for the possibility of a vaginal birth, so I'm sending positive thoughts out into the universe for that!
QOTD: We live in a city in the Midwest. I really appreciate the friendly people, safe neighborhoods, access to both urban & rural areas nearby, changes of seasons, and - most of all - living close to family.
Update: Hanging in there at 32 weeks. Starting to feel really tired, and my belly is soooooo itchy. I can't seem to keep enough lotion on it. My next check up is Mar. 5th, so nothing really to report right now other than these guys are moving like crazy in there, so that's a good thing.
I'm counting down the weeks. I have 3-6 weeks left to go. 3 weeks being the earliest I can go into labor and they won't stop it, and 6 weeks being the longest they'll let me go before inducing.
QOTW: We live in Columbia, SC. I like the particular area we live in because it's close to shopping, but our neighborhood makes you feel like you're more secluded. Lots of trees, walking trail, etc.
Will be 26 weeks tomorrow. Had a growth scan last week at MFM and OB appt today. The boys were 2 lb 2 oz and 2lb 3 oz at 25 weeks and my cervix was measuring over 4cm. Found out today that I passed my 1-hour GTT. I'm excited and a little shocked since I failed the 1 hour with my singleton. Over the weekend we finally got the room cleaned out that will be the nursury. It was DD's nursery then morphed into an increadibly cluttered "play room". You could barely walk in there but now it is just about empty. I am so relieved! Only issues are a sore back and some pelvic/inner thigh pain. My doc recommended the prenatal cradle support belt and I found it on Amazon. I will be ordering it today and hope it helps with the back aches.
QOTW: I in Southeast Michigan. I guess my favorite part is spring and fall. I lived in Texas for a long time and that felt like 9 months of summer. I really like the change of color in the fall, cider mills, and sweatshirts.
6 year old daughter
Fraternal boys born on May 11, 2013 at 36 weeks 4 days
Update: I hit 35 weeks tomorrow! I get released from bed rest, weeee! NSTs have been going well. I have a growth scan on Thursday. I'm getting so large that it's ridiculous. I've run out of room for food and have a hard time breathing sometimes. The kids are pretty low, so my ribs are safe but my cervix gets pummeled (Baby A has her feet on them). I have to keep reminding myself that I only have a few weeks left.
GTKY: I live in SW Washington, about 1/2 hour away from Portland. I love how nice everyone is here, the slower pace of life compared to the Bay Area where I grew up, and all the great food in Portland!
TTC #1 since May 2010. BFP #1 - 5/31/10; m/c on 7/22/10
Started seeing RE in August 2011
5 IUIs: BFN; IVF #1 - Success! BFP - 7/25/12
Can I be added? di/di twins due August 28.
QOTW: My favorite time to be in Cleveland is the fall. We have exceptionally beautiful fall weather with the leaves all changing. So I think that's one of my favorite things about living here.
ETA: Update, we had out NT scan last week and everything looked good. My next appt in Monday and hopefully I'll find out more about how appts and everything will work going forward.
Yay for coming off bed rest soon!
I really, really want to take a trip to the Pacific Northwest and make a stop in Portland. I've done a lot of international travel, but have never been to that area of the US. Portland looks like a really cool city. Maybe someday!

Sorry I'm late too and new! Can I be added? Due with twins September 3.
Update: We had our NT scan yesterday. Both babies were wiggling away and kicking - it was so neat to see! I was pretty annoyed with the ultrasound tech though b/c at the end I asked about a SCH I had a big bleed with at 8 weeks (and have been spotting ever since) and she basically ignored my question. I wish I would have spoken up and said, Ummmm, did you hear my question? Dang it! I was too shy since it was our first non-emergency ultrasound since the bleed. We got lots of pictures so I'm glad for that.
QOTD: I live in Iowa and really love the fact that we have close friends and family close. There isn't a TON to do, but our downtown is coming alive and we're getting more and more fun stuff to do.
