  I yelled at DS for the same exact thing this morning. He was in bed with us rolling around and thought it would be fun to head butt me while i was half asleep. Not so much, I'm super cranky in the morning.

  I lost my cool at DD2 the other day because she took off a poop diaper and then almost sat on the floor.  I felt really bad afterward, but I just shouted "NO!!" and then I pushed her forward so that her bum wouldn't touch the carpet.  I held her that way until someone got me diaper supplies.  She wasn't crying or fighting it, she seemed to understand that I was keeping the poo off the carpet.  But I still felt like garbage afterward.  There was lots of cuddling to make up for it.

  Don't feel too bad about it. We're only human. Once Jack bite me really hard and I did the same thing. I totally felt guilty, but he got over it.
  
  People are animals, kids push us to our breaking points sometimes, it's just part of life.

  Right before bed too. We were sitting in the recliner winding down for bed as we usually do. She kept sitting forward and thrashing backwards. Usually I'm quick enough to dodge her so she's really only banging against my chest. This time I wasn't so quick and she totally head butted me in the mouth. I now have a fat lip on the upper and bottom. I yelled "STOP DOING THAT!!! Just sit still!". I feel bad but the pain literally made me cry. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has snapped? I feel like a jerk. With a two fat lips.

  Don't beat yourself up. We've all been there. She won't even remember what happened. I have raised my voice at Brooklyn a couple times.

  I am sure we all can say we have lost our cool with our LO/LO's. I mean we are not Mary Poppins or Mr.Rogers 24/7.

  Escalating frustration and anger is natural, so is guilt. Don't feel too badly about it. I'm sure S is fine and you didn't do any lasting damage. I'm lost my temper with DD too and I hate it, but it happens.  I think if more often than not you can find a calm approach to dealing with misbehaviour you're doing okay.

  Last night I was holding the baby and Natalie was trying to crawl all over me. She ended up scratching the baby on the face. I yelled at her immediately, so then she's crying, and he's crying, and everyone is all upset. I felt bad because she wasn't even being naughty, and it's hard for her to understand that she has to be careful around the baby. Poor kiddo.
