1) When and where did you go on your last vacation?

Mini-vacation: weekend trip to Galveston, TX

Major Vacation: Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

Not sure, but I would like to go someplace cool (as in temp) this summer.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

I used to like the Mayan Riveria/Yucatan Pennisula in Mexico near Cancun, Playa, Cozumel, etc. (been several times), but lately the violence has gotten so bad I don't really want to go.

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

Just for work.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

Europe

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

If money and flight time weren't an object, I would like to go to Bora Bora and stay in the huts over the water.

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?

We went on a cruise from hell where DH got the Norwalk Virus (horribly sick) and we were quarantined to our cabin. There was an outbrea on the ship. He was so sick that I feared for his life. And the cruise "doctor" was incompetent. We flew out of our next destination when the ship docked and flew home missing the last half of the cruise. Horrible.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why? St. Lucia, because it was our honeymoon and we had a blast.

4) Have you ever traveled solo? Travel yes, whole trip...no.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? St. Lucia

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation? Bora Bora

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share? We went to Key West back in 04...it was a budget trip, but apparently too much. The "box springs" on our beds were actual wooden boxes and the beds were so bad we told them to burn them on the comment card. Also, the toilet overflowed and the owners said it was just a clog working its way down the line (apparently the rooms next to us had dealt with the issue in prior days).

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation?

Cruise to the Bahamas before our first IVF in 2011.

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

I imagine the next place we will go is back to Texas to visit family. DH has a family event in May, but I will probably stay at home with the babies. Since we can't have two lap children in one row, it seems too tricky. Because of the treatment cycles and restrictions during pregnancy, I haven't seen my friends and family back home in 2.5 years =(. I'd really like to go soon.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

DH and I went to London and Spain to visit friends and relax. DH and I had just started TTC and we were in a bit of a low patch. It was so much fun and the perfect solution to the funk we were in.

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

Just for work, so I'm not sure that really counts.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

From my current location, Hawaii. But, the longest flight I've been on was TX to London.

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

Tahiti. No question.

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?

I had the time of my life during the summer between my junior and senior years of college when I studied abroad. I turned 21 in Paris and it was the most spectacular birthday! I took French for five years, but I wouldn't even call myself proficient. Well, I was later told that I had a near fluent conversation with a woman in a cafe restroom about the broken toilet. All I remember of that night is the uncontrollable urge to use the restroom in the river after one too many "petite tequila"s.

Last fall we went to Mackinac Island on a baby moon.

2 When and where will you go on your next vacation?

We will probably go camping in the Upper Peninsula this summer.

3 What was your favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

My favorite was our honeymoon. It was our first vacation together. Very romantic!

4 Have you ever traveled solo?
I've flown solo to meet up with people, but I don't think that counts.

5 Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

Europe Italy, Austria, France, England and Wales or Hawaii. Honestly, I feel like both are equidistant from Michigan.

6 If is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

I have so many a trip to an ashram in India, visit Spain and Chile.

7 Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share? We got hopelessly lost in Venice trying to find our hotel, but I've never laughed so much. Guess it's only funny if you were there, can't really explain it!

Jamaica back in 2010.

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

No vacations for us for a long while

But looking forward to going on a Disney cruise as soon as LO meets the minimum age requirement!

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

Definitely Italy back in 2004". DH and I had just started dating and we decided to go to Europe with another couple spontaneously. Im such a planner so that was totally out of my norm but so much fun and glad we did it.

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

Nope never. Im too chicken to.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to??

Italy. My first out of the country trip.

6) ?If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

Fiji! I would love to stay in one of those over the water bungalos with the see through floors. Ahhh one can dream right?

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? ?Or funny stories to share?

So we were at a breakfast buffet at a resort in Jamaica. I finished filling my plate with food and started walking toward the outside where our friends were seated. The automatic sliding glass door was closing as I was heading toward it so I stuck out my hand that was holding the plate to trigger the sensor so the doors would reopen. Ummm nope, the glass doors slammed shut and broke my plate in half. Apparently the automatic doors didnt have the safety feature as they do in the US. I was completely mortified as I stood there frozen and holding half a broken plate, as the room turned to stare at me. Lol it's funny to me now but man was I embarrassed!

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation? Park City, Utah, with my mom, dad, bro, SIL, two nephews, DH, and baby Boo in my stomach. Absolute disaster because I was so sick I thought I'd die. I don't consider it a real vacation.
2) When and where will you go on your next vacation? This summer we will do Disneyland for two days and then a nine-day vacation to Silver City, New Mexico.
3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why? Our honeymoon to Negril, Jamaica. First time I had ever been on a trip that did not involve a tent or camping trailer. That was magical!
4) Have you ever traveled solo? Sort of. Went on a work trip to Disney World and nobody would go to the parks, so I spent two days at parks by myself.
5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? I would say Hawaii, Jamaica, or Alaska. Which is farthest from Nevada?
6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation? Walt Disney World in a deluxe resort, a Disney cruise, or a trip to Philadelphia
7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share? Scary: we were on a cruise and got robbed in Jamaica. Somebody snatched my money necklace off. Luckily, all he got was money because the cards were tucked in DH's wallet. I was very upset for a long time after that one!
Funny: DH and I were at D-land. DH and I went our separate ways and were going to meet up for fireworks (stupid idea). Dh's idea of in front was my behind if that makes sense. I couldn't find him and I panic in crowds. I lost him for an hour. By the end I was hysterical. I sat on the ground and cried (I was 28, 29, mind you). A cast member picked me up and asked me what happened. I told him I lost my DH. He said, pretty kindly, "Dear God woman, he's not a kid and neither are you. Neither of you is going to die. If you stop crying and be a big girl, I'll let you use my cell to call him." So, I did and found out DH was in our safe place, which in my terror I had forgotten I was supposed to go to Space Mountain if I lost him. And, Dh had our only phone and was using a pay phone to call me! We are a comedy of errors, I'll tell you! I also made sure I gave that cast member some good feedback because he knocked some sense into me!

Great gtky! I'm an avid traveler. It is my favorite way to spend time and money!1) When and where did you go on your last vacation? Real vacation? Peru to hike machu piccu. 2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?We are talking about Cali in march and maybe Ireland in the fall. With J in tow, we won't be doing anything really big or awhile. 3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?Europe for three weeks with DH. It was supposed to be the last hurrah as just the two of us and when we started TTC. Before IF entered our life and consumed everything. 4) Have you ever traveled solo?Yes, but usually to meet up with someone on the other side. If I was still single I would travel more solo. I really like doing things my way and going where I want when I travel. I truly dislike getting group consensus and moving as a herd. In fact, DH and I split up in London so we could have half a day, me to the national gallery, DH to the war museum. I do really enjoy traveling with DH, he shares my travel mojo. 5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? India. It was awesome!! I've also been to Australia and new Zealand, but I think India is further. 6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?Overwater hut in the Maldives. 7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?I got kicked out of the Sydney opera house! It was 2am, we were on a pub crawl and saw an open door and decided to use their bathroom. Security found us and gave us the boot.

Let's talk vacation, shall we?

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation?

New Orleans for Mardi Gras with 3 of my girlfriends before I got pg with DD. And that's all I remember from that vacation. Yikes! We had a good time.

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

I am leaving for Frisco and Napa Valley ON FRIDAY MORNING for another girls trip I can't wait to drink excessive amounts of wine and kick back for a long weekend with my friends.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

Hm ... this is a toughie. Maybe our Honeymoon in Mexico just because everything about it was amazing!

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

No.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

I've been to quite a few places in the Carribean. That's about the furthest I've been.

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

We had our dream vacation planned back in 2010. We were going to go backpacking through Europe for a month. Then we found out we had a crap load of stuff wrong with us and attempting to have a family was more important than spending thousands of dollars on a vacation. We knew we would need that money for treatments. So, eventually we'll get there. Might not be until we're 50, but oh well! C'est la vie, right?!

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?

Nothing scary to date (knock on wood) besides a couple of crazy plane rides that I try to forget about, but two funny stories I can share is back in college me and 10 of my girlfriends spent a week in Jamaica. We were all sitting around a table having breakfast in our suits (because it was like 90 degrees) and all of a sudden my best friends swim suit top just popped off! The clasp broke out of nowhere and her top literally flew off and onto the floor. Hilarious.

On our honeymoon my husband and I got a couples massage. He had never had a massage before, and when he came out of the mens area to wait with me for our appointment he asked me if I had any clothes on underneath my bath robe. When I told him that I kept my underwear on he told me that he was totally naked. Just as I began to make fun of him and tell him to go put his boxers back on they called us back. I could hardly relax because I wanted to laugh the entire time especially when they started massaging our leg and upper thigh area

It's funny DH and I were just talking about how it has been since our honeymoon since our last "real" vacation. I am totally needing a vacation right now.
1) When and where did you go on your last vacation? Our last "real" vacation was to Jamaica for our honeymoon in 2010. Our last "trip" was to FL to have C baptized in January. I don't consider going to visit family to be a real vacation
2) When and where will you go on your next vacation? Our next trip is back to FL in 2 weeks for my cousins wedding. Our next real vacation...who knows. I might try and convince DH to go somewhere this summer.
3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why? I have to say Jamaica for our honeymoon was my favorite. It was my first time out of the US and we had a blast. It was so gorgeous down there and really just care free since we didn't have phones or facebook or internet.
4) Have you ever traveled solo? I have flown to visit my family by myself twice
5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? Jamica
6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation? Australia!
7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share? No really scary or funny stories but we did get to scuba dive a WW2 minesweeper that had sunk when we were in Jamaica. I will never, ever forget that!

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation? We went to Ocracoke Island in 2011. We skipped last year- I was PG instead

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation? Back to the Island with my family in June

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why? We basically go to Ocracoke every year. We have family and friends there, and it's basically the perfect vacation place for us. Beautiful beaches, fun places to eat and drink and lots of relaxing little spots. I cannot wait to bring Isaac!

4) Have you ever traveled solo? My college bf moved to Atlanta and we kept dating for a few months. I flew down to see him a few times.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? Italy- Rome, Florence, Venice

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation? I would love to go to Tuscany with DH. If it wasn't so far I would love to go to Australia.

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share? Not that I can think of. I did spring break in Cancun with my friends in college. I'm sure there were both scary and funny stories involved but there's no way I remember them. lol!

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation?
MH was working in Malaysia for 2 months while I was pregnant so I met him there for our "babymoon." But our last real vacation was Mexico.

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?
Probably Mexico. It's cheap and easy and relaxing.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?
As a couple, our favorite destination is Mexico. But my favorite vacation was touring Europe with my parents and my brother when I was in college. It was our first vacation together as grown ups, and my brother and I were surprised to find that we actually liked each other.

4) Have you ever traveled solo?
I flew to Malaysia and back by myself to meet MH, but I have never done a whole trip solo.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?
Australia and New Zealand. I want to pet a koala bear.

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?
Bad story: My family and a bunch of their friends all took the Alaska cruise. Um, I am terrified of water, have severe motion sickness, and hate being cold. What part of a cruise to Alaska sounds like a good idea? I was sick and miserable the entire time. Also it was supposed to be our TTC trip bc I just knew I'd get KU on the first try like everyone else I knew. Hah!
Good story: I went to San Francisco with my mom and her bff for a long weekend. Unbeknownst to us, it was Pride weekend, and we accidentally ended up in the middle of the Pride Festival with 100,000 of our (now) closest friends. It was so crowded and insane, people were literally standing around 100% nekkid. It took us an hour to get out of the festival because there was only one way in and one way out. It's funny to think about it now.

We rented a jeep in Cozumel once and I didn't realize I parked in a tow away zone. Our jeep got towed to the local police station. We took a cab back to our resort to get all of the cash that we had on us and headed to the police station. We were fully expecting to be completely taken advantage of, but it turned out I got a parking ticket and just had to pay it right there in person. It was only $35 and ended up being an excellent experience. They gave us our own translator when we go to the station and that person stayed with us until we got in our jeep and headed back to the resort.

mini-vacation: July 2012 to California for a wedding

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

No idea, which is really sad because I'm a HUGE fan of traveling. Trying to talk DH into going to Philadelphia in a few months - that's where we met so will be appropriate to take M there for his first vacation

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

Favorite vacation is a trip to France and Belgium in '09, I think. our friends had a destination wedding at a chateau in Loire Valley, after that, DH & I went to Belgium for beer & chocolate

Favorite destination is London and Vienna

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

I grew up in a family that travels a lot, so yes, I've traveled solo many times, at least 2 dozen times, even after DH & I got married. One of my earliest solo trips was going to Moscow alone for 4 days when I was 19.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

Asia - Hong Kong, China.

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

I'm a huge opera and art museum fan, so my dream vacation would be going to the Salzburg festival for a week of concerts & operas, then a week in Vienna for museums.

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?

Scary: about 10 years ago I went to Paris w/a friend. In my jet-lagged state, my bag was stolen while we sat down for coffee. It had all my important things in it - wallet, money, passport etc. Luckily, an elderly Parisian woman saw the thief and stopped him, so I got my bag back. Otherwise, not sure what I'd do!

Let's talk vacation, shall we?

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation?

In November 2012 my DH and I went to Quebec City for a week

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation?

Our next vacation will be camping with my family in August. We'll be going up north, it's near a placed called Bobcaygon.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why?

That is too hard to answer!! I have a few, England, it was beautiful, I love it there. Hawaii, it was so relaxing and I totally fit into the whole laid back lifestyle. And lastly Kenya, I went on a missions trip and it was pretty life changing seeing how people with so little can be so happy and satisfied with life.

4) Have you ever traveled solo?

Yes, and I HATE it. Nobody to talk to, or share things with. Not much fun.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to?

Indonesia, it was 24 hours of actual flying, not including the layovers

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation?

Like a 6 month trip through Europe, experiencing everything!!!

7) Any scary vacation stories to share? Or funny stories to share?

My big scary story was while I was Indonesia there was an earthquake and it shook the building I was staying in, the light fixture was swinging like crazy, it was intense!

Oh fun post! Only I wish I was on vacay now.

1) When and where did you go on your last vacation? We went to Marco Island, Florida last May. The beach was amazing and two dolphins and a manatee swam by while we where in the water!

2) When and where will you go on your next vacation? I am hoping to go somewhere tropical in June. We haven't decided where yet.

3) What was you favorite vacation and/or destination, and why? Aruba...we went for our Honeymoon which was supposed to be in Europe bit we had to postpone that trip. DH and I just completely relaxed and had a great time.

4) Have you ever traveled solo? Not on vacation, I travel for work solo all the time.

5) Where is the farthest place you've ever traveled to? Europe.

6) If $ is no object, what/where will be your dream vacation? Tahiti
