Babies: 3 - 6 Months

WWYD?repost from 69

LO is 6mths and we just started solids. We started with cereal yesterday and it is going well. This weekend I plan on introducing her first fruit/veggie. I had planned on making her food, but someone had bought me a whole bunch of the tubs of food. So, what would you do with those tubs of food? Use them first?

I would donate them. But of you want to use them, go ahead. Or make your own and save these for traveling?

I would also donate them since I want to make my baby's food.

  • I think they are good to use to introduce food. They are small and you can try it out on baby, if she doesn't like or has a reaction you don't have too much of it and can move on to the next food.

  • I would keep them in case you run out of homemade food or don't have time one week to make it yourself. Like PP said, it may also be nice for traveling and/or trying out new foods. If someone else- like daycare, sitter, grandparent- cares for LO you could keep the pre-made food at their house as a back up. Donate any foods LO doesn't like or give them to another mom friend.

This. Easy peasy way to try things out with little risk of wasting your time/effort and money. I might not go out and buy food for this purpose, but if it was given to you why not let it help you out?
