At what point would you no longer need a steroid shot for the babes? I keep forgetting to ask my OB. Also I asked when he would start doing internals, I think I had this at 36 weeks with DS. He said he won't unless there is a reason to. Does this sound right?

You no longer need steroid shots after 34 weeks. Looks like you're already there! I get my first "normal" internal this week, at 35 weeks. I had a bunch already in the hospital during my PTL scares.

I didn't have an internal until 36 weeks and I remember being perfectly fine with that b/c I didn't want my OB in there "stirring things up" until the babies were ready, hahahaha.

As it is he did the best he could to strip my membranes at 37 weeks, and it didn't work and it hurt like hell.... but I was induced the next day, so it didn't matter

Mine was going to start internals at 36 weeks, I asked for her not to.I was 99.9% sure I was having a c-section and did not want the added pain.

I'm not sure about the steroid shots but I was also told that I wouldn't get an internal exam unless there was a reason. But my Dr new I was opting for a c-section and wasn't to concerned with checking for signs of labor unless I was showing signs to early.
