1st time TTC

Day 1 of my cycle was on Jan 27, so we TTC on Days 12-16 (feb7-11), guessing that's when I would be ovulating because I have a very regular 28 day cycle. Considering I've never been pregnant I'm not sure if I've been experiencing symptoms, but I've had very mild, almost unnoticeable lower stomach aches off and on an some bloating. I took a HPT on Day 26, BFN. Then on day 28 I had very very light spotting, thinking I'd start my period. On day 29 I never got my period, so took another HPT and got another BFN. Now it's Day 30 and still no period, and I usually KNOW when it's coming. I've never ever been late, even in very stressful times. Could it still be too early for the HPT to detect? The negatives are confusing me.
