Thanks for the hugs. I'm actually doing pretty good and feeling okay with how things are going. I'm getting really excited for the summer and quitting my job and becoming a full time SAHW. I've started lists of all the things I want to do once I don't have to go to work every day.
I'm also loving the challenge of sticking to our budget so that we can save up money in preparation of me quitting. I'm kind of excited for what the next couple of months will bring us.
As for our plan for this cycle, it's to do nothing. Well, have sex of course but other than that, nothing. I'm not temping or doing any charting. I'm trying not to even look at my chart so that I don't freak out about what day I'm on or anything. We're just going to relax and enjoy life. Or at least try to.

Thanks for being excited for me! I cannot wait, it's been a long time coming. I can't believe that I'm so close to my dream.
How long have you been a SAHW for?
And thanks for the heads up about the KU questions. Most people IRL know about our losses so I think they'll know better than to ask but I will try and come up with some witty comebacks in case someone decides to be stupid.

I'm sure that my to-list will be a continuous one. I love to cook (when I have the time which I don't have much of working full time) and I can't wait to explore recipes and try new things in my kitchen. I think I'm most excited to garden and keep my house clean and put food away for the winter. I will be quitting the end of June so we'll be into summer by then. I'm just so excited to have time to get stuff done around the house and not always feel like I'm an inadequate housewife.

Ah! I know how you feel! But its just not fair!!! We are NOT housewives (not yet, anyway). But its our gender that gets to take on the role of cooking and cleaning. But guess what?! We have jobs, too! I read a study the other day that, on average, husbands have 15 hours more of leisure time per week than do wives. When DH looks at me and says "is something wrong?" I just want to scream sometimes! Its just a lot of extra stress to try to be a working woman and a "housewife." I'm glad that you will be a SAHW soon, Jenn!
I'm sorry Jenn about the BFN. And I'm sorry Pink021 that the 2ww is driving you crazy. I'm in my 2ww, too, and even though I stopped charting I'm still driving myself slightly insane. But at this point, after 6 months of TTCAL, I'm starting to lose hope of ever seeing those two pink lines again. (I know.... Jenn, its been years for you. I don't mean to be insensitive.)
Pink C, how are you doing?
Thank you miakrita. I know that I'm not inadequate for real and I realize that I have a full time job and can't be perfect at everything. It's just frustrating sometimes. Thanks for understanding.
And I completely get the feeling of losing hope of every seeing those 2 pink lines again. It's actually only been 6 months of TTCAL for me, the rest of my time was spent TTA. So I get it. It just plain sucks. Sending you big ((hugs)) and hoping that you get to move over to PgAL soon.

miakrita: Did you make it to your first meeting? If so, how did that go? How is the car/apartment search going?
Thanks for asking about me, Pink C. Thanks also for the QOTD...its so true!
I did go to my first meetings over the weekend! I went to 2 on Friday and 1 on Saturday. I might go to another tonight if I feel like I have the time. Overall, its good. I'm really starting to be convinced that I really do have the disease. I can relate to so much of what is said in those rooms.
The car/apartment thing is coming along. As for the car, we have an appointment today to get a used car from a private seller checked out at a mechanics. The Carfax report said that it had been totaled at one point. But if its been rebuilt good and is in good running condition, it will be a bargain! If that falls through, my dad's friend owns a used car lot. So that might prove fruitful.
As to the apartments, DH was so sweet! My spring break is 3/4 - 3/8. He secretly bought us 2 nights at a lodge in the Poconos which is near where I will be moving! So we will be there and get to check out the town and see these apartments IRL before signing a lease! We will be living apart next year, most likely. So its weird the thought of checking out apartments for myself only. Its like I'll be in college again or something...hahaha.
I hope you're doing well! March 5th is in 8 days!!
Thanks, Jenn. ((HUGS)) right back at you. TTCAL (for this long) does indeed suck. But hopefully it will be worth it and we can join all the recent grads over on Pgal soon.
I hope you enjoy these next few months preparing to quit! Plan a garden, buy some seeds, make a list, crack open some cook books!
((HUGS)) I'm so sorry for everything. I am glad that you are going to talk to someone, though. Its hard sometimes to take those proactive steps for your own health. I hope its helpful. Hang in there!
I agree. With March coming up I wish we could just hit fast forward and slide straight into april
But, please know that we'll be here to support you when you EDD comes up ((HUGS))
I hope it works out with your new Doctor. I would hate to have to drive that far too see my OB! I'm sending you a ton of positive vibes that you hit it off and she's to your liking.
I'm doing pretty good. Nothing exciting to report here. I'm keeping really busy which is nice but really exhausting
Thanks for asking!
Fun! I had no idea that you were working towards being a SAHW. I'm technically SAHW too now. I used to work full-time and then after my loss I was given some medical leave and haven't been back since. I work part-time but spend the majority of my time home so I guess I qualify.
I also stalk the budget checkin and I have to say i'm super impressed with your ability to stick with it. I'm an impulse spender and I cannot imagine living on a cash budget. It would probably do me some good though right? LOL
And, I can totally understand your desire not to worry about TTC this month. It does get overwhelming doesn't it? I haven't even started TTC yet and I'm totally obsessed with my temps and stuff.. *sigh*
I'm so glad to hear that you've made it to a few meetings. It's a long road but so far you are doing amazing. Keep up the great work.
Hopefully the car checks out and the apartment too!
Way to go DH that is so so sweet of him! Enjoy your time away and together. It must be tough knowing you are going to spend almost a year apart.
And... yes March 5th is 8 days away!!!!!
I'm so sorry about Dh's grandma Jess ((HUGS))
I just wish I could reach out and give you some huge squishy hugs. Sorry about the BFN. Although, you're not out yet!!!!!
I'm glad you're still keeping up with therapy. I went to see mine for the first time in nearly a month this week and it was super helpful. If you ever want to talk PM me or FB me
