We still have DD's crib from 5 years ago. The model is no longer made. I found a mini crib with a similar color and style that seems to go well with our existing crib. Would it be odd for one baby to use the standard size and one to use a mini crib? They will be sharing a room. It's not a huge room so the extra floor space would be nice....I just feel funny trying to choose which baby gets which crib.

Re: 1 Standard Sized Crib and 1 Mini Crib - Weird?
Have you considered selling the standard one and using the money to put toward another mini/two minis?

Hmm ... yeah, I admit I would feel weird about doing that. I would do two standard or two minis.
Could you sell it if it's converted to a toddler bed? I'm sure you'd get less for it but maybe something.
we bought one cheap plain crib from CL for the boys and the other was a hand me down gift, and it's a really nice fancy crib that I never would have bought first hand. At first I felt weird putting one baby in the plain cheap one and the other in the nice one. But they both fit in the room so I said, they won't know the difference and used them. I let DD pick who got which one so I didn't play favorites. (she did-which meant one twin got all her hand me down pink stuff because it was her favorite at the time too).
I would keep the mini, go with what you have and don't worry too much about it. If they end up in therapy one day it won't be because of this.
yes,, save your money for other necessities!!
Ours don't match at all either.
I guess it depends on how long you plan to use the cribs, too, and what you'll do after. We used cribs till 3y5m, which worked great for us but probably would not have worked with a mini crib in the mix. The cribs are now both converted to toddler beds.
