kids dont have seats they are lapping it ... I did not wanna pay for seat if i did not have to yet
While I totally understand this, I don't recommend it (BTDT). If you want to save money but also your sanity, I recommend 3 seats, so you have 1 seat and can switch off who is seated. It's good to have at least 1 adult with free hands because you will need it (and a break!).
Ditto, that's a long flight to have two squirmy kids on your laps. If it was an hour to 2 I might risk it, but 5 hours, no way.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
DH and I flew to Italy with the boys at 20 months as lap children. UNCOMFORTABLE but it would have been over a grand for another seat, which wasn't worth it for us. Maybe if it had been a couple hundred we would have bought the seat. Bring a lot of snacks both for you and the kids. The kids ate almost all of our airplane meals so DH and I went without (although later learned that we could have asked for extra trays). Some old toys, some new toys. Some old books and new. It is really hard to reach anything on the floor when you have a kid on your lap so maybe a little bag that you can have next to you so you don't have to constantly be trying to get things under your seat. I wrote a blog post after going to italy that might be helpful. (I've posted it before so sorry if you've seen it, but it is easier than writing everything out.)
Thanks for your concern but unless you wanna buy me the 3rd seat its not happening .... so thus is why i am asking for advice from MOMS who cant or wont buy the 3rd seat. and what is BTDT??? mean

woops i forgot to ask about benadryl .... we actually did a trial run and it only worked for one of our kids - the other had no effect and thank goodness it did not make her hyper as I heard it can do that
