Success after IF

Poster with the possible triplets - Are you out there?

There was a poster on here that had three sacs, but one of them didn't look viable and was bigger than the other two.  There was controversy about whether she was telling the truth or whether it was mud.

Poster - I can't remember your name, but if you are out there, can you please give us an update?

  • Thanks for sharing the link.  What a horrible couple of women those two were.  I happen to know laurid as an active poster on 2IF, so my perspective is different than someone who sees her as a complete stranger, but still, that was incredibly harsh!

It's not like she came over here and put that as her first Bump post ever.  I hate that she felt like she was not supported, just because of the oddity of her situation.  Glad to see that the mean posts didn't come from any names I recognize on this board.

It was one girl who used to be a regular poster but hasn't been here in a long time. Most of the responses were supportive. Thank you so much for the update. So sad to see it wasn't better news.

  • Sorry to hear it was bad news.   I hope she reports her doctor to the medical board and finds a new one, because something was really, really wrong with all that.

As an aside, being a regular poster means very little on the internet.  The biggest crazies on the TK/N/B were ones that had been around for years.

So, I guess you're saying we should take anything YOU say with a grain of salt then, eh?

Bottom line, leave the poor girl alone.  If you think it's MUD, and it's not hurting you, don't respond.  It's not like she's ever had a suspicious post before, so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I choose to defend her and I will.  I prefer not to have things get nasty around here about this, let alone be part of it.  I've been here long enough to do my best to avoid the drama, and I walk the walk by defending what I feel is right and choosing to bite my tongue (literally and figuratively) when I see something I disagree with, but ultimately won't benefit by my two cents being added to the mix.  I hope the negative nancies associated with the original thread will do the same.

I never said it was MUD and was not insinuating anything.  I was just using that statement as a reminder hoping someone could provide her name or might know what was going on.  Honestly, I was originally going to refer to it as the post about possible superfetation, but I just thought that might stir up drama...and I certainly didn't want that!  I was actually supportive of her in the original thread and felt bad for her.

At any rate, I am sorry to hear that things didn't end up well for her.  I wish she would have updated us, but given the first thread,  I can completely understand why she didn't. :(  I was hoping for a miracle for her, but I guess that didn't happen.

  • Hey Bevo,

No hard feelings, I hope.  Once I saw the thread to which you were referring, I realized you weren't insinuating that it was MUD.  The way it was worded in your post just caught me off guard, so that's why I asked who it was.  I just took it a little personally, because I spent a good amount of time with laurid over on 2IF, and as a result, came to feel protective of her.

Absolutely.....while I do know some bumpies IRL and am friends off board with many, I don't expect anyone I don't know to blindly trust anything I say.   And I'm not saying don't defend her, just use a better argument than ZOMG she posts regularly!

Of course not!  :)  I just didn't want you to think I was saying it a negative way. I feel awful that things turned out the way they did for the poster.  What a roller coaster.

  • Tomato, tomahto.  We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.  My philosophy is trust people until proven otherwise (not crazy first posts or obviously insane or stupid ones, but hopefully you get my drift).

I get that there are crazies out there and I take what everyone online has to say with a grain of salt.  I'm not out there sharing personal info or trying to meet folks, just try to find a create a supportive environment on here, with enough sarcasm to keep it fun.

In this case, I built a "relationship" with laurid over on 2IF, so because of that, I'm willing to believe her until given a reason not to, and as a result, will support and defend her, and yes, her history on that board is my reason.

Like I said, let's agree to disagree on that being a "valid" reason.  I guess you have had a different experience than I have in this regard, which is unfortunate.  However, I have not, and thus, will continue to use this as my barometer for supporting others as long as it works for me.
